No. 9/10 Women's Basketball at Mount Holyoke

SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 42-7 all-time against Mount Holyoke in a series that dates back to the 1981-82 campaign.
• The Beavers have won 22 consecutive games against the Lyons going back to 2009, which includes 10 straight road victories.
• Just four of the 22 games during the winning streak have been decided by fewer than 20 points.

LAST MEETING
• Sophomore Anika Chinthakunta and Nihanika Noel both scored 16 points and sophomore Kiara Simone Davis contributed 10 points, nine assists, six rebounds and three steals as the Beavers cruised to a 104-33 win over Mount Holyoke on January 26, 2022, in Babson Park.
• Noel added 15 rebounds to post her first career double-double and 12 different players scored at least four points for Babson, which jumped out to a 32-4 lead after one quarter.
• Annika Brooks produced 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lyons.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 9/10 Babson (15-2, 2-0 NEWMAC) had its eight-game winning streak snapped in a 65-61 loss to No. 13/15 Trinity on Monday night.
• Senior Megan Bauman finished with 17 points and five assists, junior Katelyn Mollica knocked down five three-pointers and scored 15 points and senior Samantha Smith added 14 points for the Beavers, who led by six with six minutes to play.
• Bauman (13.6 pts, 4.9 ast, 3.6 reb) ranks second in the league in assists and sixth in scoring, junior Kelly Walsh (11.7 pts, 4.4 reb, 2.1 ast) is tied for fourth in the NEWMAC with 37 steals and Smith (11.6 pts, 8.1 reb, 2.4 blocks) is tied for first in the conference in blocked shots.
• Over its first two league games, the Green and White ranks second in defensive efficiency holding its foes to just 0.64 points per possession.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Mount Holyoke (2-16, 0-3 NEWMAC) has dropped three straight games and suffered an 80-16 loss at WPI on Saturday.
• Junior Isabel Cordes scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds for the Lyons, who shot just 14.6 percent and went 1-of-27 (3.7 percent) from three-point range.
• First-year Alex Twomey (11.4 pts, 6.1 reb, 2.5 steals) leads the team in scoring, rebounding and steals, sophomore Cal McGonagle is averaging 9.3 points and a team-high 2.2 assists and first-year Libby Harris is contributing 6.6 points.
• Mount Holyoke, which is seeking its first conference win since 2015, is holding opponents to 39.5 percent shooting while forcing 18.1 turnovers per game.

BAUMAN COLLECTS NEWMAC AND NEWBA HONORS
• After averaging 13.3 points and dishing out 5.3 assists in wins over Hamilton, Clark and Coast Guard last week, Bauman was selected as the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday and earned a first-team nod when NEWBA released its weekly honor roll on Tuesday.
• She scored 11 of her team-high 17 points in the fourth quarter of last Monday's victory over Hamilton and scored her 1,000th career point last Wednesday against Clark.

BACK TO THE ROAD
• After playing its last five games at home, Babson will hit the road for four of its next six contests beginning on Wednesday night.
• The Beavers are 32-4 on the road against NEWMAC opponents going back to the 2016-17 campaign with just two of the losses coming in regular season conference play.

MOVIN' ON UP
• With four rejections in Monday's loss to Trinity, Smith now has 95 in her career and needs just five more to become the ninth player in program history to reach 100 blocked shots.
• Bauman's five assists against Trinity helped her pass Michele Cote '94 for second place on Babson's all-time list. With 358 career assists she trails only Giovanna Pickering '17, who amassed 376 assists from 2013-17.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 5-0 in road games this season.
• The Green and White is 13-0 this winter when holding its opponents below 40 percent shooting.
• Babson is 9-0 this season has won 45 of its last 48 games when scoring at least 70 points going back to the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
• The Beavers are 9-0 on the year when outrebounding their opponents.
