No. 11/12 Women's Basketball vs. Hamilton

SERIES HISTORY
• Babson and Hamilton will meet for the first time on Monday night.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 11/12 Babson (12-1) has won five consecutive games and is coming off a 75-55 victory over Springfield last Wednesday.
• Junior Kelly Walsh finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, for assists and three steals, while sophomore Katelyn Mollica scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures for the Beavers, who shot 46.9 percent and led by as many as 28 early in the fourth quarter.
• Senior Megan Bauman (13.4 pts, 4.8 ast, 3.2 reb) ranks 27th in Division III in assists per game, Walsh (12.2 pts, 3.9 reb, 2.0 ast) has scored in double figures in five straight games, and senior Samantha Smith (11.9 pts, 8.5 reb, 2.0 blocks) is shooting 48.9 percent from the floor.
• The Green and White ranks 36th in Division III in field goal percentage (42.4) and has held three of its last four opponents below 56 points.

SCOUTING THE CONTINENTALS
• Hamilton (9-6) defeated 25th-ranked Tufts, 59-43, for its second consecutive win on Saturday afternoon.
• First-year Taylor Lambo posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and junior Courtney Shay and senior Emma Sehring both added 11 points for the Continentals, who made 14 fourth-quarter free throws and held the Jumbos to just 25 percent shooting.
• Lambo (13.1 pts, 7.9 reb) has scored in double figures in each of the last four games, Sehring (12.1 pts, 9.4 reb) leads the team with six double-doubles and junior Emily Hall is averaging 10.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and a team-high 4.4 assists.
• Hamilton, which owns a win over No. 10/10 Rochester, has played five nationally-ranked opponents over its last 10 outings.

FINDING A RHYTHM
• Over the last three games dating back to December 31, the Beavers are averaging 76.3 points while shooting 46 percent from the floor.
• The Green and White has averaged 1.03 points per possession during this stretch and has scored 75 points or more in all three games for the first time this winter.

FINDING SUCCESS AGAINST THE NESCAC
• Babson has gone 3-0 against the NESCAC this winter, which includes a 59-56 win at Williams on December 3, a 60-51 victory over Middlebury at home on December 30 and a 78-76 triumph at Tufts on January 8.
• Bauman has averaged 17.7 points on 52.9 percent shooting, Walsh has contributed 14.7 points and Smith has added 12.3 points and 8.7 rebounds in the three wins.
• The Green and White combined to hold Williams, Middlebury and Tufts to just 37.3 percent shooting to go along with a +9.0 rebounding margin.

HOME COOKIN'
• After opening the season with eight of its first 12 games on the road, the Beavers kicked off a five-game homestand by beating Springfield 75-55 last Wednesday.
• Babson is 5-0 inside Staake Gymnasium this season and has gone 23-3 at home since the start of the 2020-21 campaign.

MOVING UP THE CHARTS
• Bauman, who is currently third in program history with 337 assists, is seven shy of catching Maura Fleming '96 for third place on Babson's all-time list.
• She also is tied with Nicole Hiller '21 for sixth place in school history with 75 three-pointers and 18th on the all-time scoring list with 971 career points.
• Smith swatted a season-high four shots in the win over Springfield and is now ninth in Babson history with 81 career blocks. She needs two to tie Suzy Ward '07 for eighth place.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 11-0 this season and have won their last 15 games going back to last February when scoring at least 60 points.
• Babson is 9-0 this winter and 72-1 since 2018-19 when carrying the lead into the fourth quarter.
• The Beavers are 10-0 on the year and have won their last 17 games when holding their opponents below 40 percent shooting.
• The Green and White is 14-1 since the start of last season when making at least six three-pointers.
