Men's Alpine Ski Records Second-Place Finish in Slalom at Proctor

ANDOVER, N.H.—Junior Ryan Beardsley (Warren, Vt.) posted his second top-10 finish of the weekend to help the Babson College men's alpine ski team come in second in the slalom at Proctor Ski Area on Sunday.

The Beavers' top three skiers logged a time of 4:34.19 to come in second for the second day in a row. Castleton claimed the top the top three spots on the individual leaderboard and finished just over 12 seconds ahead of the Green and White for its second win in as many days.

Beardsley's two-run time of 1:30.69 was good for fifth place and just two one-hundredths of a second ahead of first-year teammate Max Bellino (Shrewsbury, Mass.), who cam in sixth overall. Junior Lucas Wiacek (Little Neck, N.Y.) came in 10th with a time of 1:32.79 and classmate Kyle Wolff (Stratham, N.H.) finished 12th overall just 0.13 seconds behind him.

Senior Jack Beney (Greenwich, Conn.) placed 19th with a two-run time of 1:35.82, junior Henness Hoffmann (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) was 21st with a time of 1:36.82 and first-year Finn Horsley (Salt Lake City, Utah) came in 26th after crossing the finish line in 1:44.34.

Babson returns to action next Friday when it travels to West Mountain for its first giant slalom race of the season.
