SERIES HISTORY
• The Beavers are a perfect 8-0-0 against Emerson in a career series that started in 2013, posting six consecutive shutouts and outscoring the Lions 24-1 in the eight contests.
• Babson is 3-0 at home against the Lions after going to overtime for a 1-0 victory in 2018, and have won the last two meetings at Emerson, 3-0 in 2019 and 2-0 last year.

LAST MEETING
• Senior Mitchell Collins and junior Joseph Cardaropoli scored just over four minutes apart late in the second half to help 21st-ranked Babson defeat Emerson, 2-0, on September 25, 2021 at Rotch Field in Boston.
• Senior Jack Dugan recorded two assists and classmate RJ Parrilla and junior Lorenzo Mancini each finished with one assist for the Beavers. Goalkeeper Itai Rubin '22 stopped three shots to earn his fourth shutout of the year.
• Babson finished with a 16-11 advantage in shots and keeper Jacob Remer made three saves for the Lions.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 14/22 Babson (4-3-1, 1-0-0 NEWMAC) had a three-game unbeaten streak snapped on Tuesday at Hartwell-Rogers Field in a 3-1 loss to defending national runner-up Amherst.
• Junior Shamar Rainford scored for Babson on a penalty kick in the 77th minute and sophomore keeper Walker White made a career-high seven saves in goal in the setback.
• Graduate student Ben Williams (4-1-9) leads the team in scoring while sophomore Louis Gazo (2-3-7) shares the team assist lead with graduate student Ryan Goss (1-3-5) and junior Liam Rhatigan (0-3-3). Senior Samuel Smith (3-0-6) has tallied three goals in three games off the bench.
• White (1.36 GAA, 21 saves) has started all seven matches between the pipes for the Green and White.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (4-0-3, 1-0-0 NEWMAC) remained unbeaten on the season with an 8-1 victory over Lesley Tuesday in the Charles River Cup. The Lions, who blanked Springfield 2-0 last Saturday in their conference opener, are off to their best start since joining the NEWMAC in 2013.
• Senior Phil Han and sophomore Theodore Bushara tallied two goals apiece in the win over Lesley, and first-year Chris Moulinos added a goal and two assists. Senior Nathan Yarbrough and sophomores Hugo Berville and Diego Jimenez also scored for the Lions.
• Moulinos (2-2-6) leads the team in scoring and Bushara (2-1-5) is second. Han, junior Thomas Chuaqui, and sophomore Gregor Kopanezos all have two goals and junior Ben Deeming (0-4-4) tops the team in assists.
• Sophomore Ethan Fitzsimmons (1-0-3, 0.50 GAA, 14 saves) and first-year Matthew Mueller (3-0-0, 0.33 GAA, 18 saves) have split time in the Lions goal.

SCANNING THE POLLS
• Babson jumped from No. 22 to No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches Division III poll. The Green and White also moved to No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches Region II poll.
• The Beavers debut at No. 22 in the first D3soccer.com Men's Top 25 Poll of the season, ahead of No. 2 Coast Guard and No. 3 Roger Williams.

SCORING SURGE
• After producing 24 goals all of last season and finishing seventh in the NEWMAC in scoring, the Beavers have scored 18 goals through seven games and lead the conference in scoring.
• Dugan (3-4-10) and Giancarlo Arguello '22 (4-1-9) topped the team in scoring in 2021; Williams has matched Arguello's goal total in six games this fall and Smith is one goal shy.

BEAVER BITES
• With two shutouts and allowing just one goal in two other games this season, the Beavers are 3-0-1 when allowing just one goal or less and are 39-4-10 since 2018 when surrendering just one goal.
• The Green and White are 11-0 dating back to last season when scoring at least two goals, and are 45-3-0 since the start of 2016 when scoring at least twice.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 4-0 this season and 15-0-1 dating back to last year when scoring the first goal of the game.
• The Beavers are 3-0 this season and have won their last nine games going back to last year when leading at the half.
