SERIES HISTORY
• The Beavers are 26-19 all-time against Suffolk in a series that dates back to 1977.
• Babson has won 10 of the last 12 meetings between the programs, which includes a 13-4 victory in the 2019 regular season finale in what was Beaver head coach Matt Noone's 400th career win.

LAST MEETING
• Jake Oliger '20 homered and drove in five runs No. 7/7 Babson defeated visiting Suffolk, 13-4, back on April 30, 2019 at Govoni Field.
• Brian McHale '19 went 4-for-5 with two RBI, Aidan Scott '20 was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, and Nicholas Browne '19 and Edward Lehr '19 both finished with two hits and two RBI for the Beavers. Senior Nate Carpenter earned his first career win with four shutout innings of relief striking out two and giving up just two hits.
• Tim Brigham '20G doubled and drove in three runs for the Rams, who were limited to just five hits on the afternoon. One of nine pitchers to see action, senior Casey Sullivan fell to 0-1 on the year after giving up a run in 0.1 of an inning.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (9-4) bring a five-game winning streak into Wednesday's game, including a doubleheader sweep of Salem State last Saturday.
• The Beavers rallied from an early deficit with eight unanswered runs to win the opener, 9-6. Senior Thomas Lapham went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, classmate Sean Burychka doubled twice and drove in two runs, and junior Michael Cook singled twice and led all players with three RBI. Senior Jack Pirkl also doubled, scored twice and drove in two, while sophomore Brant Savage went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
• Junior Tim Noone tossed six shutout innings to lead the Beavers to a 7-1 win in the nightcap. First-year Griffin Cofsky fanned three over the final three innings to earn his first career save. Cook hit a two-run homer, Lapham finished 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored, and senior Josh Yellen went 3-for-5 with two RBI to pace the Beavers' 13-hit attack.
• Lapham (.365) leads the team with 19 hits, while Burychka (.375) and Yellen (.346) have 18 hits apiece. Burychka has a team-high five doubles and two triples to lead the squad with seven extra-base hits and 12 RBI.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
• Suffolk (8-5) is coming off a doubleheader split last Saturday at Curry, winning the nightcap 8-2 after a 7-6, 11-inning loss in the opener.
• First-year Nick Reiser allowed just one earned on five hits and six walks, striking out five, to post the win in the nightcap. Senior Marc Birbiglia was 3-for-5 at the plate with a homer, two RBI, and three runs scored. Classmate Blase Cormier chipped in a 3-for-5 effort with an RBI, and first-year Harry Painter produced a double and a home run, along with two RBI and two runs scored. 
• Sophomores Joe Ward and Garret Roberts each had two hits including a home run in the extra inning loss, while Birbiglia had two hits with a double. Senior Casey Sullivan pitched three innings of scoreless relief, giving up just one hit and striking out four.
• Painter (.477 avg., .909 slg.) ranks 14th in Division III in slugging and 36th in batting average. He has nine extra-base hits with three doubles, two triples and four home runs. Junior Luke Harder (.373) has eight hits for extra bases, including five doubles, two triples and a home run.

NEWMAC HONOR
• Noone became the first Babson player to be honored by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) this season when he was named Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
• The junior lefty went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA, a 0.75 WHIP and 15 strikeouts in 12 innings over two starts for Babson. He retired the first 13 batters he faced and gave up just one hit while striking out seven on Monday to earn his first career win in a victory over Plymouth State, and then recorded a career-high eight strikeouts and allowed just three singles over six innings to pick up another win Saturday over Salem State.

STREAKY BEAVERS
• Dembowski has hit safely in all seven of his games this season, with four multi-hit games.
• Yellen has reached base in all 13 games this season and 15 straight dating back to last season. He has six multi-hit games this season, including a three-hit outing in the second game against Salem State.
• Lapham has hit safely in six consecutive games and collected four of his six multi-hit games in that span.

HOME SWEET HOME
• Babson is 2-0 at home this spring and is 46-6 at Govoni Field going back to April 22, 2016, which includes winning 30 of 35 games at home in 2018 and 2019.
• Wednesday begins a stretch of 4-of-5 games at Govoni Field.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have made just 13 errors in 13 games and rank 12th among 385 teams in Division III in fielding percentage (.973).
• The Green and White have won eight of nine games this spring when allowing two extra-base hits or fewer.
• The Beavers have reached base with at least one walk in 25 straight outings dating back to last season.

• Babson will be right back on the diamond Thursday with a non-conference game at Roger Williams, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
