WHAT TO KNOW
• Babson will host the fourth edition of the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament on Friday and Saturday inside Staake Gymnasium.
• This year's classic format features the Beavers hosting Middlebury and Eastern Connecticut State taking on Endicott on Friday, while Babson meets Endicott after Middlebury faces Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
vs. Middlebury
• The Beavers are 2-1 all-time against the Panthers in a series that dates back to 1992.
• Babson has won two straight against Middlebury, although last year's 79-62 in Williamstown, Mass., was the first meeting between the teams since 2004.

vs. Endicott
• Babson is 8-4 all-time against the Gulls in a series that dates back to the 1975-76 campaign.
• The Beavers have won two straight against Endicott, which includes a 49-42 victory on the opening day of the 2021 Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament.
• Saturday's contest will be just the fifth between Babson and the Gulls since 2008.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 9/9 Babson (8-1) bounced back from its first loss of the season by edging Hanover, 66-65, at the Cruzin' Classic in Miami Gardens, Fla., on December 21.
• Senior Megan Bauman scored 10 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter, junior Kelly Walsh added 10 points and classmate Madison Odam contributed 10 points and six blocked shots for the Beavers, who overcame a season-high 23 turnovers against the Panthers.
• Bauman (13.6 pts, 5.2 ast, 3.2 reb) has scored in double figures six times over the team's first nine games, senior Samantha Smith (12.6 pts, 8.1 reb, 2.1 blocks) is shooting 50.5 percent from the floor, and Walsh is contributing 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and a team-high 1.7 steals.
• The Green and White ranks 17th in Division III committing just 13.6 turnovers and is holding opponents to 58.3 points per game.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
• Middlebury (6-3) has won three straight games and is coming off a 49-28 victory over Union back on December 11.
• Sophomore Alexa Mustafaj led all players with 22 points and senior Reagan McDonald knocked down three three-pointers to finish with nine points for the Panthers, who raced out to a 35-13 halftime lead and limited the Dutchwomen to just 21.7 percent shooting.
• Mustafaj (21.6 pts, 4.0 reb) ranks 17th in Division III in scoring and is shooting 54.1 percent, first-year Gabby Stuart (7.4 pts, 4.0 reb) ranks second on the team with 10 three-pointers and sophomore Augusta Dixon (6.4 pts, 5.8 reb) leads the squad in rebounding.
• Middlebury has held five of its first nine opponents below 40 points and ranks sixth in Division III in both scoring defense (45.2 points) and field goal percentage defense (29.1).

SCOUTING THE GULLS
• Endicott (3-5) dropped its final three games of the first semester and is coming off a 66-62 loss to Salem State on December 10.
• Senior Tara Laugeni finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and three steals, while classmate Emily St. Thomas added 11 points, eight boards and four assists for the Gulls, who led 62-61 on a three-pointer by sophomore Libby Fleming with 0:07 remaining.
• Laugeni (16.9 pts, 8.4 reb, 1.8 steals) leads the team with four double-doubles, sophomore Sarah Dempsey (15.6 pts, 7.5 reb) has scored in double figures six times in eight games, and St. Thomas is contributing 11.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and a team-high 3.6 assists in eight starts.
• Endicott has scored at least 68 points in each of its three wins while allowing 66 points or more in four of its five losses.

REMEMBERING JUDY PEARSON
• Judy Pearson '85 enjoyed a legendary career and became the first woman inducted into the Babson College Athletics Hall of Fame in 1991. She was the first woman in program history to exceed 1,000 career points and her career average 20.9 points per game is still a school record more than 30 years later.
• Pearson ended her career with 1,758 points, which is good for fourth in program history, 814 rebounds and 189 steals. She also owns a school record with 530 made free throws and her 9.69 rebounds per game ranks third on Babson's all-time list.

BLINSTRUB COLLECTS 700TH WIN
• Babson's Judy Blinstrub became just the 11th coach in Division III history to reach the 700-win milestone in the team's 71-63 victory over Framingham State back on December 6.
• She ranks fourth among active Division III coaches in wins behind only Andy Yosinoff of Emmanuel (883), Michael Durbin of Saint Benedict (722) and Michael Miller of Messiah (719).

MOVING UP THE CHARTS
• With eight assists in the Beavers' December 21 win over Hanover, Bauman has 322 for her career tying her with Nancy Langevin '92 for fifth place on the program's all-time list. She needs just two to pass Langevin and Meredith Hellen '05, who is currently fourth all-time with 323 career assists.
• Smith, who has blocked at least one shot in all but one game this season, is tied with Liz Edson '94 on Babson's all-time list with 74 career rejections.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Odam's six blocks are the most by a Babson since Jennifer Narlee '17 blocked six in a win over Springfield and the Beavers' nine rejections against Hanover are their most as a team since a February 2020 victory over Coast Guard.
• The Beavers are 2-0 this season and 6-1 going back to the start of last year in games decided by five points or less.
• Babson is 6-0 on the year and 29-3 since the start of 2020-21 when outrebounding its opponents.
• The Beavers are 7-0 this season and 20-3 since the start of last year when scoring at least 60 points.
• The Green and White is 12-1 over the last two seasons when making at least six three-pointers.
