SERIES HISTORY
 • Babson and Roger Williams are tied 1-1 in the all-time series that dates back to the 1981-82 season, with both games taking place in Bristol R.I.
 • After the Beavers won the initial contest 40 years ago, 58-48, the Hawks took last year's contest, 66-60, handing Babson its first loss of the season.
LAST MEETING
 • Roger Williams closed the game with a 19-8 run to rally for the 66-60 victory over visiting Babson on November 20, 2021, inside the Campus Recreation Center.
 • Senior Megan Bauman led all scorers with a season-high 16 points to go along with five assists for the Beavers. Junior Madison Odam posted her first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, while classmate Kelly Walsh added 15 points in the loss. 
 • Junior Katie Galligan led a balanced Hawks' attack with 15 points, while senior Kendi Barnard and junior Caroline Elie added 10 points apiece in the win. 
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
 • Babson (2-0) is looking for its third straight win after a 62-34 victory Wednesday at Rhode Island College, a program that reached the NCAA Tournament last year.
 • Walsh led all scorers with 17 points and added career highs of six steals and three blocked shots for the Beavers, while Odam went 6-of-11 from the floor and posted a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
 • Senior Samantha Smith added eight points, seven boards and two blocks and Bauman chipped in with eight points on 4-of-8 shooting.
 • Walsh (14.0 pts, 3.0 asst), Smith (11.0 pts, 5/5 reb) and Bauman (10.0 pts, 3.5 asst) lead a balanced Babson offense, which has six players averaging at least 7.5 points in the first two games. The other three include Odam (8.5 pts, 9.0 reb) and sophomores Katelyn Mollica (8.0 pts) and Camilla Silk (7.5 pts).
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
 • Roger Williams (1-1) opened the season with a 71-47 victory over MIT on November 9 before suffering a 57-48 setback against No. 10/11 Tufts on Tuesday in Medford, Mass.
 • Elie led the Hawks with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting against Tufts and finished one rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards. Junior Sophie Araneo recorded a double-double of her own with 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
 • Elie (16.0 pts, 8.0 reb) is shooting 56.5 percent from the field (13-of-23) while Araneo (15.0 pts, 8.0 reb) give RWU a solid 1-2 punch. Junior Katie Galligan (9.5 pts, 3.0 steals) and seniors Kendi Barnard (6.0 pts, 7.0 reb, 3.5 assts) and Nikki Rosa (5.0 pts) fill out a formidable starting five for the Hawks.
 • RWU finished 25-3 last season after capturing its first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship before an overtime loss to NESCAC champion Bates in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
COMMONWEALTH COAST CONFERENCE FOES
 • Saturday's game will be the first of two Babson games against CCC opponents this season.
 • The Beavers will take on defending runner-up Endicott in the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament at Babson on December 31.
NCAA RANKS
 • The Beavers are shooting 45.9 percent as a team through two games while holding their opponents to a 28.8 clip, which both rank in the top 30 in Division III.
 • Babson is averaging 14.0 assists and just 9.0 turnovers and ranks fifth in Division III in assist/turnover ratio (+1.56).
 • The Green and White have 12 blocked shots in the first two games and rank 19th nationally in blocks per game.
BY THE NUMBERS
 • The Beavers finished 10-3 at Staake Gymnasium last season and are 38-9 at home since the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
