SERIES HISTORY
vs. Skidmore
• Babson is 38-6-2 all-time against the Thoroughbreds in a series that dates back to 1999.
• The Beavers won all three games against the Thoroughbreds last season, including the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Championship game, 5-3, and are unbeaten in the last 22 games (21-0-1) in the series.
• Over the last 10 games between the teams, six have been decided by a single goal and another ended in a tie.
vs. Castleton
• Babson is 23-5-5 all-time versus Castleton in a series that dates back to 2004.
• The Beavers are unbeaten over their last 12 games (10-0-2) against the Spartans, including 5-0-1 at Spartan Arena.
• Three of the last six games at Spartan Arena included a tie and two one-goal games, and the other three were at least four-goal Babson victories.

LAST MEETING
vs. Skidmore
• Senior Rory Casey scored a pair of breakaway goals as No. 6 and fourth-seeded Babson captured the NEHC championship with a 5-3 triumph over sixth-seeded Skidmore on March 5, 2022 inside the Babson Skating Center.
• Babson got one goal and one assist from Ryan Black '22, who was named Tournament Most Valuable Player. Mike Egan '22 and sophomore Wyatt George both scored for the Beavers, and Brad Arvanitis '22G made 23 saves in goal.
• Mike Gelatt '22 led the Thoroughbreds with two goals, and junior Everett Wardle tallied a goal and an assist. Junior goalie Tate Brandon made 38, many acrobatic, saves.
vs. Castleton
• Black registered two goals and one assist, including his 100th career point, to lead No. 9 Babson to a 5-1 victory over Castleton on January 29, 2022 inside the Spartan Arena.
• Egan tallied a goal and an assist and junior Thomas Kramer recorded two assists. John Corrigan '22 and Hunter Garlasco '22 scored empty-net goals for Babson late in the third period, and Brad Arvanitis '22G made 21 saves to record the win in goal.
• Sophomore Zach Papapetros scored the only goal for the Spartans with assists from junior Stone Stelzl and sophomore Andrew Stefura. Senior Brandon Collett made 30 saves in the Spartan net in the setback.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 7 Babson (4-1-0, 3-1-0 NEHC) extended its winning streak to three games with victories over UMass Boston (5-2) and Johnson& Wales (6-3) last weekend at the Babson Skating Center. The Beavers' only loss this season was to Hobart, who is now ranked No. 1 in the USCHO Division III poll.
• Senior Andrew Holland recorded his first career hat trick in the victory over Johnson & Wales, and first-years Sam SiboldCharlie Andriole and Ryan Murphy all scored their first career goal. First-year goalie Nate Mueller recorded his first career victory in goal with 28 saves.
• Kramer and first-year Egan Schmitt each tallied a goal and an assist in the win over UMass Boston. Senior James Perullo and first-years Mike Stevens and Ian Driscoll scored for the Beavers, and senior Nolan Hildebrand improved to 3-0 with 27 saves in the win.
• Holland (4-1-5), who was on this week's NEHC Honor Roll, Schmitt (3-2-5) and Will Holland (0-5-5) are also among the team scoring leaders, with Schmitt potting two power play goals. Hildebrand (1.63 GAA, .948 sv. pct.) has won all three of his starts in goal.

SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS
• Skidmore (5-2-0, 1-1-0 NEHC) split its first two NEHC games last weekend, defeating New England College Friday evening, 7-4, for its fifth straight win before a 4-1 loss at No. 10 Norwich on Saturday.
• Sophomore Kaeden Patrick led Skidmore with two goals in the win over NEC, while classmate Ethan Heidepriem had a goal and two assists and senior Devon Mussio contributed three assists. Brandon improved to 3-1 with 26 saves. 
• Junior Thomas Finck scored the lone Skidmore goal in the second from sophomores Freddie Ilias and Jaden York. Brandon posted 26 saves again in the setback.
• Wardle (3-5-8) and Mussio (1-6-7) are the Thoroughbred scoring leaders, with Finck (4-2-6) and Patrick (4-1-5) the goal-scoring leaders. Brandon (2.79 GAA, .915 sv. pct.) is 3-2 in goal in five starts and sophomore Blaine Moore (1.00 GAA, .961 sv. pct.) is 2-0 in two starts.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
• Castleton (1-4-0, 1-1-0 NEHC) split its first two NEHC games last weekend, upsetting No. 10 Norwich on the road Friday, 4-3, for its first win of the season before falling to New England College on Saturday, 2-0.
• First-year Zach Boulet scored a pair of goals, sophomore Bryce Irwin tallied a goal and an assist and sophomore Andrew Stefura added a third-period power play goal that proved to be the game-winner in the triumph at Norwich. Collett earned the win with a 30-save effort.
• Collett made 30 saves again on Saturday but surrendered a pair of third-period goals in the loss to NEC.
• Sophomore Zach Trempner (0-4-4) leads the team in assists and points, while Boulet's two goals top the Spartans, whose nine goals have come from eight different players. Collett (3.49 GAA, .890 sv. pct.) has started three of the five games in goal.

CHECKING THE POLLS
• Babson was picked tied for fifth in the NEHC preseason coaches' poll, while Skidmore was voted third with one first-place vote and Castleton was ninth.
• The NEHC is well-represented in the latest USCHO.com Division III poll, with Hobart at No. 1, Babson at No. 7, Norwich at No. 10, and Skidmore and Elmira in the receiving votes category.

NEHC LEADERS
Will Holland leads the league in +/- with a +9 total through five games.
Andrew Holland is tied for third with four goals and Will Holland is tied for fifth with five assists.
• Hildebrand is fourth in the NEHC with a .948 save percentage and fifth with a 1.63 GAA.  

NCAA STATISTICS
• Babson is ranked 15th among 73 teams in Division III in power play percentage (.250), scoring five goals in 20 opportunities with the man advantage.
Will Holland is tied for ninth nationally in assists per game (1.00) with five helpers in five outings.
Andrew Holland is one of three players in Division III tied for first with two shorthanded goals.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson has scored at least one power play goal in four out of five games this season, winning three of those four.
• The Beavers are 4-0 when scoring at least three goals this season, and have won 45 of their last 50 games (45-4-1) when scoring at least three times going back to the start of the 2019-20 season.
• The Green and White, which will be on the road the next five games, are 1-1 on the road this season after going 10-4 away from home a year ago. Babson is 21-7-2 in away games over the last four seasons.
