SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 8-36 all-time against MIT in a series that dates back to 1982.
• The Beavers have won three straight and seven of their last 12 matches overall against the Engineers since 2013.

LAST MEETING
• Allie Puccio '21 M'22 led all players with 17 kills and senior Laura Zuloaga added 12 kills and three blocks to help the Beavers rally for a four-set (19-25, 25-17, 26-24, 25-20) win over MIT on October 26, 2021, in Babson Park.
• Senior Jordan Lapins contributed nine kills, classmate Lauren MacDonald had a match-high six blocks and junior Caroline Applewhite dished out 38 assists for the Beavers, who hit .241 over the final two sets.
• Annie Bryan finished with 12 kills, Allison Brattley added 10 and junior Emily Cheng registered 41 assists and 15 digs for the Engineers.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 23 Babson (19-5, 8-0 NEWMAC) has dropped three straight matches after suffering a 3-1 loss to Williams at the New England Challenge on Saturday.
• Junior Lauren Gips had 10 kills, sophomore Lauren Griffin added nine kills and junior Ruby Reich chipped in with 24 assists and five digs for the Beavers, who matched their season low with two service aces in the loss.
• First-year Isabella Allen (2.95 k/s) ranks fifth in the conference in kills per set, Gips is among the top 10 in the NEWMAC in kills per set (2.70), blocks per set (0.86) and hitting percentage (.322), and Zulogaga (2.26 k/s) ranks fourth in the league with a .347 hitting percentage.
• Graduate student Izzy Seebold ranks seventh in Division III in assists per set (10.17), while first-year Roz Cabuena is fourth in the NEWMAC averaging 4.67 digs per set.
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• No. 19 MIT (20-5, 8-0 NEWMAC) has won six consecutive matches and capped the New England Challenge with a 3-0 victory over 25th-ranked Tufts on Saturday.
• Lauren Keller (12), Consecrata Rozario (11) and Lilly Edwards (10) combined for 33 kills and Cheng dished out 35 assists for the Engineers, who hit .343 in the victory.
• Edwards is averaging a team-high 2.76 kills per set, Keller (2.57 k/s) is hitting .274 and is second on the team with 43 total blocks, and Rozario (2.34 k/s) ranks second in Division III with a .444 hitting percentage.
• Cheng is dishing out 10.82 assists per set over the last 10 matches, while Ottavia Personeni ranks third in the conference averaging 4.79 digs per set.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
• The winner of Tuesday's match will take over sole possession of first place in the standings and will host next week's conference tournament as the top seed.
• The loser of Tuesday's contest will be the second seed and will host a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal on November 1.
HIGH-POWERED OFFENSES
• In eight matches this fall against NEWMAC foes, the Beavers rank second behind only MIT in kills per set (12.48), hitting percentage (.225), service aces per set (2.66) and points per set (16.58).
• The Engineers are averaging 12.59 kills, 2.74 aces and 17.11 points per set while hitting .260 as a team.
MOVING UP THE CHARTS
• Zuloaga, who ranks first in program history with a .347 hitting percentage, passed Michelle Danis '04 for 19th place on the career list with 552 kills.
• Seebold's 590 assists this fall rank 14th on the Beavers' single-season list and her 10.17 assists per set is currently the highest total in school history.
DIGGING DEEP
• Over the last eight matches, sophomore Tatum Stelter has topped 20 digs five times and finished with a career-high 26 in Friday's four-set loss to Middlebury.
• She has totaled 141 digs and is averaging 4.55 digs per set during this stretch.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson, which is 15-1 when recording more service aces than its opponents this year, served up a total of just seven aces in its three losses over the weekend.
• The Beavers are a perfect 16-0 this fall and have gone 67-3 since 2019 when winning the first set.
• The Green and White is 16-0 on the year and has won 60 of its last 61 matches when limiting its foes to a hitting percentage of .150 or below.
• Babson, which is 13-0 on the year when hitting .200 or better, has hit .212 or higher in six of eight matches versus NEWMAC opponents this fall.
