SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 24-16-4 all-time against Amherst in a series that dates back to the 1972-73 season.

• Senior goaltender Aidan Murphy made a career-high 50 saves as Babson and the Mammoths played to a 1-1 OT tie on December 1, 2019, in Amherst, Mass.
• Ryan Black scored 5:25 into the first period on the power play for the Beavers after Pieter von Steinbergs opened the scoring 1:18 into the contest for Amherst.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 5 Babson (10-4-2) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 7-4 win over Johnson & Wales on Saturday.
• Senior Mike Egan scored a pair of third period goals, while classmates John Corrigan, Trevor Marcinick and Max Torrez and sophomore Thomas Kramer all chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Beavers.
• Black (12-10-22) ranks fourth in Division III in goals per game, Egan (8-13-21) has produced nine points over the last five games, and senior Matt Wiesner (7-10-17) has scored twice on the power play this winter.
• Graduate student Brad Arvanitis is 5-2-2 with a 2.90 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in 10 starts, while junior Nolan Hildebrand has gone 3-1-0 with a 3.19 goals against average and a .869 save percentage in four appearances.
SCOUTING THE MAMMOTHS
• Amherst (6-6-2) extended its unbeaten streak to six games with a 2-1 win over Hamilton on Sunday.
• Michael Pitts scored midway through the first period and Sean Wrenn put away a shorthanded chance for the go-ahead goal 34 seconds into the third period for the Mammoths, who got 38 saves from Dachille.
• von Steinbergs (2-9-11) leads the team in assists and points, Wrenn (5-3-8) and Matteo Mangiardi (5-3-8) have combined to score three times on the power play, and Matt Toporowski (2-6-8) has two power play goals.
• The goaltending trio of Dachille (1-3-1), Connor Leslie (3-2-1) and Alex Wisco (2-1-0) have combined to post a 2.61 goals against average and a .904 save percentage while allowing more than two goals just once over the last six contests.
SUCCESS AGAINST THE NESCAC
• The Beavers have gone 3-0 this winter against NESCAC opponents with wins over Tufts, Bowdoin and Colby over a six-day stretch back in late November.
• Babson's top line of Black, Egan and Kramer has combined for seven goals and five assists for 12 points, while Wiesner, Torrez and senior Cam Schmitt have contributed three points apiece in the three wins.
CONSISTENT PRODUCTION
• The Beavers, who have scored three or more goals in 13 of 16 games this season, rank among the top 10 in Division III in both scoring offensive and power play percentage.
• Babson, which is 6-for-13 on the power play over the last four games, ranks eighth nationally scoring on 29.5 percent of its chances, and is ninth in Division in offensive averaging 4.19 goals per game.

• The Beavers have outscored opponents 18-11 in the first period this season.
• Babson is 6-0-2 this winter and is unbeaten over its last 16 games when allowing three goals or fewer.
