THE SETUP
• The Babson alpine ski teams return to northern New Hampshire for two days of racing beginning on Saturday morning.
• The Beavers and their league rivals will take part in the slalom at Pat's Peak on Saturday before venturing to Mount Sunapee for the giant slalom on Sunday.
LAST TIME AT PAT'S PEAK
• Senior Jack Blanchard came in first and classmate MacIntyre Henderson place fourth to lead the Babson men to a victory, while the women's squad placed fourth overall in the slalom at Pat's Peak back on January 20, 2018.
LAST TIME AT MOUNT SUNAPEE
• Babson has not competed at Mount Sunapee since 2016 when both the men's and women's teams placed fourth in the giant slalom on the final day of the regular season.
SCOUTING THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers finished second in a pair of giant slalom races at Whiteface Mountain last Friday and Saturday.
• Senior Elizabeth Baer (4th, 5th), junior Sarah Mangiacotti (6th, 4th) and first-year Lauren Abdow (7th, 7th) all recorded a pair of top-10 finishes for the Beavers.
• Sophomore Julia Martin also recorded her top two results of the winter, finishing 12th on Friday and 11th on Saturday.
• Mangiacotti enters the weekend ranked third in the MacConnell Division, while Baer and Abdow are seventh and 10th, respectively.
SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers placed second and third in two giant slalom races at Whiteface last weekend.
• Blanchard recorded a pair of top-10 results (8th, 5th) and first-year Jack Beney came in seventh on day two after posting an 11th-place showing in Friday's GS race.
• First-year Zach Roman also came in 10th in the opening race of the weekend, marking his top finish of the season.
• Beney enters the weekend ranked third in the MacConnell Division standing, while first-year Liam Mooney (12th), Blanchard (14th), Roman (16th), sophomore Victor Wiceck (19th) and senior Sean Robinson (20th) give the Green and White six skiers inside the top 20.
UP NEXT
• The Beavers head back to upstate New York for the final MacConnell Division regular season races of the season next Saturday and Sunday at West Mountain.
