Men's and Women's Alpine Ski Win GS at Ragged Mountain

DANBURY, N.H.—The Babson College men's and women's alpine ski teams capped the second weekend of MacConnell Division competition with a pair of first-place finishes in the giant slalom at Ragged Mountain on Sunday.

The Beavers, who collected their second victory of the year on the women's side, were led by senior Michelle Martin's (Belmont, Mass.) second-place showing. Junior Teagan Mosenthal (Campton, N.H.) came in fifth less than two seconds behind Martin, while sophomore Elizabeth Baer (Salt Lake City, Utah) was just 0.10 seconds behind her in sixth place.

Senior Tatum Alkier (Collingwood, Ontario) came in 12th overall, while junior Olivia Burwell (Manchester Center, Vt.) and senior Alexis Kane (North Syracuse, N.Y.) came in 30th and 38th, respectively.

In the men's race, sophomore MacIntyre Henderson (Park City, Utah) was first after the first run and finished second overall by just 0.38 seconds. Classmate Jack Blanchard (Dover, Mass.) came in fourth and fellow sophomore Douglas DeLuca (Holderness, N.H.) finished 11th for the Green and White.

Sophomore Eli Wolfson (Woodland Hills, Calif.) came in 21st, while senior John Boland (Waitsfield, Vt.) recorded a 26th-place finish.

Babson returns to action next Saturday when it opens two days of GS races at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, N.Y.
