The Dutchmen tied it on senior Tom Stanton's (Hingham, Mass.) tally three minutes later, but Low converted a feed from Segreti with 36.6 seconds to go in the frame to grab a 6-5 edge at the break.

Union dominated the early part of the third quarter, scoring four times in the first 5:12 to build a 9-6 advantage on sophomore Sean Pensavalle's (Winchester, Mass.) second goal of the game. Brown stopped the run momentarily for the Green and White, but Kycia notched back-to-back man-up goals to give the Dutchmen its biggest lead of the afternoon at 11-7 with 2:27 to go in the period.
