Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine—Bowdoin College got two goals and an assist from senior Connor Keefe (San Diego, Calif.) and used four unanswered tallies to defeat visiting Babson College, 4-1, in non-conference men's soccer action at Pickard Field on Monday afternoon.
Babson, which had its two-game winning streak snapped, falls to 7-5-1 on the year, while Bowdoin is now 5-3-2 overall.
Senior James Rosso (Hingham, Mass.) earned the Beavers a corner kick in the 10th minute when his shot was punched out of danger by Polar Bears sophomore goalkeeper Stevie Van Siclen (Carlisle, Mass.). The Green and White took a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute when sophomore Justin Kaplan (Medway, Mass.) converted a feed from first-year Carlo Araujo (Bradenton, Fla.) for his fourth goal of the season.
Bowdoin leveled the score on a goal by senior Hunter Miller (Aurora, Ill.) in the 55th minute and then took the lead for good in the 63rd minute when Keefe notched the first of his two markers off a pass from junior Austin Downing (Scarborough, Maine). First-year Moctar Niang's (New York, N.Y.) header in the 67th minute gave the Polar Bears some breathing room, and Keefe converted another feed from Downing in the 86th minute for the final margin.
Senior goalkeeper Stephen Donato (Morganville, N.J.) finished with one save for the Beavers, while Van Siclen stopped three shots for Bowdoin.
The Green and White finished with a 13-9 edge in shots and a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Both teams return to action on Saturday as Babson hosts Springfield at 1 p.m., while the Polar Bears take on Hamilton at 2 p.m.

• The Beavers hold an 18-17-7 edge in the all-time series against Bowdoin.
• The loss was just the third in the last nine matches away from home for Babson.
