CASTLETON, VT. -- Castleton State scored five unanswered goals in the final two periods to defeat the visiting Babson College Beavers, 6-1, in an ECAC East men's ice hockey game on Friday evening. With the win, the Spartans improved to 5-0 on the season (5-0 ECAC East), while the Beavers fell to 1-2 overall (1-2 ECAC East).

Castleton State jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after Lindsey Gullett scored the game's first goal at 5:09 of the first, but Babson answered when sophomore Troy Starrett scored off assists from Ben Kravitz and Mike Driscoll at 13:45. From there, the Spartans scored one goal in the second period and four more in the third to run away with the 6-1 victory.

Junior Zeke Testa finished with 25 saves in net for Babson, while Erick Cinotti made 27 stops in goal for Castleton State.
