MILTON, Mass. -- Curry College scored three unanswered goals in the
first two periods of play en route to a 5-1 victory over visiting
Babson College in a non-conference ice hockey tilt on Tuesday
night. With the win, the Colonels are now 8-7-1 overall, while the
Beavers fall to 8-8- 1.
Curry grabbed a 1-0 lead at 13:48 of the first, as Ray Nicks
netted his third goal of the season off an assist from Brett

17:36.
The Beavers final broke through against Curry goalie Travis
Owens in the opening minutes of the third, as freshman defenseman
Matt Furey scored his second goal of the season at
4:15. However, the Colonels came right back with a goal at 6:15, as
Warsofsky potted his second of the game and fifth of the season to
push the host's lead back to three at 4-1.
Babson would briefly pull sophomore goalie Zeke
Testa in favor of an extra skater during a Beaver
powerplay later in the period, but Curry's Christopher Atkinson
converted an empty-netter for his sixth goal of the year at 16:52
to finish off the 5-1 Colonel victory.
Owens stopped a total of 28 shots in goal for Curry, as he
improved his season record to 6-1-1. Testa finished with 29 saves
in defeat for Babson.
