RESULTS
NORTH CONWAY, N.H. -- The Babson College alpine ski teams wrapped
up their weekend at Mount Cranmore with another slalom event as
part of the UConn Carnival on Saturday, with the men's team
finishing fourth and the women taking seventh.
Placing in the top 10 for the fourth straight race and earning a
top-five finish for the third time this winter was first-year
Mark Grundy, who took fourth overall in the men's
race with a two-run time of 1:27.54. After a tough performance on
Friday, senior captain Max Winthrop rebounded in
stellar fashion, placing 14th overall in 1:31.13, while junior
Greg LaFrance and sophomore Zach
Breakstone followed in 32nd and 34th, respectively.
Sophomore Ricky Beneduci took 39th for the
Beavers, senior Scott Kern came in 50th, and
first-yeat Stephen Seibel placed 59th.
In the women's half of the competition, sophomore Franny
Robertson poted Babson's best finish for the second day in
a row as she placed 16th overall - the best finish of her
collegiate career. Senior captain Alyssa Sullivan
recorded the team's second-best effort in 32nd place, followed by
first-year Jaclyn Lacavalla in 49th, senior
captain Alexis Vest-Burton in 50th, and first-year
Sophie Komornicki in 54th.
