SATURDAY'S SLALOM RESULTS | SUNDAY'S GS RESULTS

WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - The Babson College ski teams competed in the Plymouth State Carnival at Waterville Valley this weekend. The men's team recorded fifth-place finishes in both the slalom on Saturday and the giant slalom on Sunday, while the women placed 10th in both events.

On Saturday, senior co-captains John Roche (Hingham, Mass.) and Kevin Fusick (North Granby, Conn.) led the Babson men, finishing 17th and 18th, respectively, in the slalom. Sophomore Keith Vella (Sussex, N.J.) followed in 23rd place, and sophomore Max Winthrop (Avon, Conn.) came in 26th. Rounding out the Beavers' lineup were first-year Greg LaFrance (Brookline, N.H.) in 36th, junior Chris Jacobs (Rochester, N.Y.) in 38th, and junior Connor Lemenze (Stratton Mountain, Vt.) in 60th. First-year Alyssa Sullivan (Tiverton, R.I.) was the only Babson skier to place in the women's race, taking 37th overall.

The Beavers placed three men in the top 20 in Sunday's giant slalom, as Roche finished 15th, Vella came in 18th, and Winthrop placed 19th. Jacobs added a 28th-place performance for the Green and White, with Lemenze following in 30th and LaFrance taking 38th. Sullivan once again paced the women with a 16th-place effort, while junior Tahira Adatia (Tacoma, Wash.) came in 59th.
