•    Ava Ladd came through with a two-run single in the second, Maggie Feng and Delaney Benevides each drove in a run in the third, and Caroline Langmeyer retired nine of the 10 batters she faced over the final three innings for the Engineers, who captured their third consecutive NEWMAC championship.

•    Raymond, junior Devin McCall and sophomore Belle DiCampello each recorded an RBI single in the bottom of the first and junior Katie Vlacich struck out six and gave up just three hits over six shutout innings for the Beavers, who rallied for a 5-2 win over the Rams in game one of the twin bill.
•    DiCampello is batting .357 with six extra-hits, 13 RBI and three runs scored, junior Emily Walsh is hitting. 333 with five extra-base hits, eight runs batted in and 15 runs scored, and junior Lexi Sealey enters the weekend with a .298 average to go along with six doubles, a triple, one home run, nine RBI and seven runs scored.

•    Thiessen went 2-for-3 with a double, Lauren Sundquist hit a two-run homer and Emily Watson struck out three and allowed just one run on two hits in a complete-game effort for the Engineers, who bounced back from a 7-5 eight-inning loss to the Lions in game one.
