Softball Looks to Stay Hot When it Hosts Endicott on Tuesday Afternoon

SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 14-14 all-time against Endicott in a series that dates back to 2000.
•    The Beavers have won five of the last seven meetings between the teams since 2022. 
•    Five of the last eight meetings between the Green and White and the Gulls have been decided by a single run going back to the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
•    Babson has won four straight games versus Endicott at Govoni Field since getting swept back in 2019.

LAST MEETING
•    Abby McClaflin and Dani Lear both homered to help Endicott defeat Babson, 4-1, on April 29, 2025, in Beverly, Mass. 
•    McClaflin and Lear both finished with two hits and Kristen Beebe struck out 10 while allowing just one run on eight hits over 6.0 innings for the Gulls, who tacked on a pair of insurance runs thanks to a two-out error in the bottom of the fifth. 
•    Sara Moore '25 went 3-for-4, junior Emily Walsh had an RBI ground out and classmate Katie Vlacich struck out three and gave up just two earned runs in a complete-game effort for the Beavers, who stranded runners on base in every inning but the first. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS 
•    Babson (17-18) has won four straight games and closed out a sweep of Clark with a 6-0 victory on Saturday afternoon. 
•    Junior Charlotte Raymond smacked a three-run homer, Walsh and sophomores Maddy DeLong and Kay LaLiberty all provided an RBI single, and Vlacich tossed a three-hit shutout for the Beavers, who got hits from six different players in the victory. 
•    Junior Lexi Sealey is batting .348 with 15 doubles, a home run, 23 RBI and 19 runs scored, sophomore Belle DiCampello is hitting .346 with 10 extra-base hits, 21 RBI and 11 runs scored, and Raymond owns a .343 average to go along with eight doubles, two homers, 19 RBI and 15 runs scored.
•    First-year Anna Topel is 5-5 with a 3.75 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 69.0 innings, Vlacich is 5-9 with a 4.69 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 74.2 innings pitched, and Sealey has made 14 of her 17 appearances in relief and owns a 3-2 record to go along with three saves and a 2.94 earned run average. 

SCOUTING THE GULLS
•    Endicott (20-11) has won nine of its last 11 games but is coming off a 4-3 loss to Suffolk in game two of Saturday's doubleheader. 
•    McClaflin and Ava Kelley both recorded RBI singles and Mia Mitchell singled and scored a run for the Gulls, who got six innings of shutout relief from Analise Grady after falling behind 4-0 in the first inning. 
•    McClaflin is batting .427 with 13 doubles, two home runs, six stolen bases, 19 RBI and a team-high 33 runs scored, Kylyn McLaren is hitting .410 with five homers, two doubles, 27 RBI and 24 runs scored, and Maddie Beeley owns a .338 average to go along with 10 doubles, a home run, 16 RBI and 16 runs scored. 
•    Grady is 8-4 with a 1.88 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 78.0 innings, Beebe (6-3, 2.84 ERA) has 91 strikeouts and has held opposing hitters to a .171 average in 69.0 innings, and Emma Sheehan is 5-1 with a 2.10 ERA in 30.0 innings pitched this spring. 

VLACICH EARNS CONFERENCE HONORS
•    Thanks to back-to-back shutouts, Vlacich was selected as the NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon. 
•    In addition to striking out five in Saturday's complete-game three hitter against Clark, she gave up just two hits while fanning five in a 9-0 five-inning win at Salve Regina on Friday evening. 
•    Over her last four starts, Vlacich is 3-1 with a 1.13 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched going back to April 17. 

STREAKING INTO THE WEEK
•    Sealey has at least one hit in five straight contests going back to April 18, while Raymond has at least one hit and one RBI in four consecutive games. 
•    DiCampello has reached base safely in each of her last 11 outings, Walsh has reached base safely in eight straight games and Sealey has gotten on base in each of the last six contests. 
•    DeLong has a hit in three straight games and has scored at least one run in each of the last four contests. 

BEAVER BITES
•    Junior Ruby Madia was 4-for-10 (.400) with a pair of triples, five RBI and two runs scored in Babson's sweeps of Salve Regina and Clark last weekend.
•    First-year Alexa Young recorded the first extra-base hit of her career with a double in Saturday's game-two win over Clark. 
•    Topel has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of her last five starts dating back to April 10 and is 3-1 with a 2.31 ERA in 33.1 innings. 
•    Sealey, who's 15 doubles are the most by a Babson player since 2016, leads the Green and White with 11 multi-hit games and is tied with DiCampello for the team lead with five multi-RBI games. 
•    Babson has made just three errors over its last five games. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 11-4 this season when scoring the first run of the game.
•    Babson is 13-3 on the year when recording more hits than its opponents. 
•    The Green and White is 7-2 this spring and 13-4 since the start of last year when committing zero errors. 
•    The Beavers are 7-7 on the year in games decided by one or two runs.
