SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
• Salve Regina (3-27, 0-14 NEWMAC) has dropped 16 consecutive games after dropping game two of Wednesday's doubleheader to Clark, 4-1.
• Emily Cronin and Gracie Keyes both doubled and Emma Plourde provided a first-inning RBI single for the Seahawks, who carried a 1-0 lead into the top of the seventh before giving up four runs to the Cougars.
• Lillian Bridges is batting .385 with two doubles, a triple, seven stolen bases, seven RBI and 10 runs scored, Plourde is hitting .378 with five doubles, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored, and Cronin enters the weekend with a .357 average to go along with 11 doubles, 10 RBI and a team-high 16 runs scored.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
• Clark (14-15, 3-9 NEWMAC) has won back-to-back games after rallying for a 4-1 victory to complete a sweep of Salve Regina on Wednesday afternoon.
• Emelie Spence went 2-for-4 and recorded a go-ahead two-run single in the top of the seventh, Erin Slavin was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Megan Dube struck out six and scattered six hits in a complete-game effort for the Cougars, who struck for four runs in the top of the seventh inning to erase a 1-0 deficit.
• Dube is batting .326 with 12 doubles, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored, Spence is hitting .323 with three extra-base hits, eight stolen bases, seven RBI and a team-high 18 runs scored, and Merry Griffin owns a .316 average to go along with five doubles, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored.
• Brooke Buzzeo is 8-5 with a 2.77 EAR and 88 strikeouts in 86.0 innings pitched, while Dube is 5-9 with a 3.20 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 94.0 innings this spring.
FIGHTING FOR PLAYOFF POSITION
• The Beavers enter the weekend clinging to the seventh and final spot in next month's NEWMAC Tournament at 5-7 with a one-game lead over eighth-place Wheaton (4-8) and a two-game edge over Clark (3-9).
• Babson is sitting just one game behind Wellesley (6-6), which it hosts next Friday, and two-games in back of fifth-place Smith (7-5), which it split with to begin NEWMAC play back in late March.
• The top five seeds will advance directly to the double-elimination conference tournament bracket while the sixth and seventh seeds will meet in a one-game playoff to join them on Monday, May 4.
STREAKING INTO THE WEEKEND
• DiCampello boasts a nine-game hitting streak and has recorded at least one knock in 14 of the last 16 contests dating back to March 29.
• Walsh owns a four-game hitting streak, while Sealey and junior
Charlotte Raymond reached base safely in both of the Beavers' games against Coast Guard last Saturday.
NEWMAC NUMBERS
• Raymond is batting .419 and leads the team both on-base percentage (.479) and slugging percentage (.605) to go along with five doubles, a home run, eight RBI and five runs scored in Babson's first 12 conference games.
• Landow, who recorded the first three-hit game of her career last Saturday against Coast Guard, is hitting .412 in 10 games versus league foes.
• Sealey, who is tied for second in the league with 12 doubles, has fanned just once in 41 at-bats in NEWMAC play and her four strikeouts on the season are the fewest by any player in the conference with at least 100 at-bats.
• Sealey (11) and DiCampello (10) lead the Green and White in runs batted in versus league opponents, while Walsh has scored a team-high 12 runs in 12 NEWMAC games.
• Vlacich is 2-1 with a 2.85 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 19.2 innings pitched over her last three league starts.
