SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 22-5 all-time against Springfield in a series that dates back to 2000.

Wesley Zhang '25 were also on winning doubles teams for the Beavers, who clinched the NEWMAC regular season crown for third time in the last five years with the victory.
• Tatsuya Kimoto '25 registered a victory over Lepsoe at number one singles for the Pride, who also earned a forfeit decision at number five.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 15 Babson (15-4, 6-0 NEWMAC) has won four straight and seven of its last eight matches, including consecutive 5-2 victories over No. 26 MIT on Tuesday, Coast Guard on Wednesday, and No. 19 Brandeis on Thursday.
• Wang won matches at number one singles and doubles and Babson won five singles matches, including three in three sets, in the triumph over Brandeis. First-years

Max Lidman,
Dylan O'Connell-DeCerchio and
Rishi Batlanki all posted singles victories in the team triumph, and Mendoza joined Wang for the win at number one doubles.
• Senior
Alexander Merson (16-2) leads the team in singles wins, including 8-1 at number one. Wang (14-6) and Zlobinsky (14-5) are both 11-4 in dual matches, Wang in the top two flights and Zlobinsky in five different spots in the lineup. O'Connell-DeCerchio (13-3), first-year
Sourish Gadhi (12-6), and Mendoza (11-9) all have double-digit singles victories this year.
• Merson and Zlobinsky are 8-4 in all matches and 5-3 at number one doubles, Wang and Mendoza (23-6) have gone 7-2 this spring at number two and nine different pairings have accounted for the team's 10 victories at number three doubles, which includes Bourn and Lidman winning twice.
SCOUTING THE PRIDE
• Springfield (10-6, 5-1 NEWMAC) had a six-match winning streak snapped in Wednesday's 6-1 setback to No. 32 MIT on its home courts.
• The Pride picked up a doubles victory by sophomore Liam Huppke and junior Angelo Guzman at number three. Senior Marc Villanueva Abad lost the first set at number four but bounced back two take set two and was up 4-1 in the third-set tiebreaker before his opponent retired for the Pride's only point. Sophomore Akito Shimamura at number three, Huppke at number five and senior Ethan Gomulka at number six all went three sets in their singles match loss.
• Guzman (10-5) has gone 7-4 at number one in singles and leads the team in singles wins. Huppke (8-3) is 6-3 in dual matches, and Gomulka (7-6) and senior Pahkin Thongbooncharoen (7-3) each have seven singles victories. First-year Austin Prendiville (6-3) has claimed all six of his victories in dual matches, going 6-2 at number two.
• Gomulka and senior Tim Norin (7-3) are 5-3 in doubles in dual matches, including 4-2 at number one. Guzman and Huppke (5-4) are 4-2 at number three.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
• Babson (6-0) can clinch its second straight NEWMAC regular season title and third in four years with a victory on Saturday.
• A Pride (5-1) victory over the Beavers would create a three-way tie between Babson, Springfield and MIT (5-1) for the NEWMAC regular season crown.
• Those three schools have already clinched a first-round bye in next week's NEWMAC Tournament and will play in the semifinals on Friday.
WANG AND MENDOZA REPEAT AS NEWMAC DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK
• Thanks to a 6-2 win over George Chaidemenos and Rex Harrison at number two in Friday's 4-3 loss at 20th-ranked Amherst, Babson's duo of Wang and Mendoza earned their second consecutive conference doubles team of the week honor on Monday.
• Mendoza's 24 doubles wins have already surpassed the Beavers' single-season record of 22 set by Merson last season, while Wang equaled the mark with Friday's win.
MOVING UP THE CHARTS
• Wang and Mendoza have won 23 doubles matches this season, which is the most by a pairing in single-season program history.
• Merson's 16 singles wins this spring is tied for sixth on the program's single-season list,
• Wang (79), Mendoza (75) and Merson (71) all rank between seventh and 12th in Babson's career combined victories.
