MARLBOROUGH, Mass.— After setting a program record, Babson College's 4x100 meter relay team was named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's track and field relay team of the week on Monday afternoon.
The Beaver quartet of junior
Reese Gallant (West Newbury, Mass.), sophomore
Victoria Hart (Greenwich, Conn.), senior
Robyn Wilkes (Atlanta, Ga.), and first-year
Marcilee Kinerman (Atlanta, Ga.) established a new school record with a time of 48.95 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational to open the season back on March 20. They also finished first by nearly two seconds with a time of 49.55 at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic on Saturday.
The Babson foursome bettered the mark of 49:25 set in 2023 by Caroline Reilly '23, senior
Brooke Jankowski, Wilkes, and
Angela Hagstrom '25.
The Beavers will be back in action on Saturday at the Coast Guard Invitational in New London, Conn.
