Samantha Gilbert (Arlington, Va.) and four teammates were recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) with weekly honors on Monday afternoon, as Gilbert was named Women's Swimmer of the Week and the group of sophomore

Sylvie Racicot (Arlington, Mass.) were tabbed as the NEWMAC Women's Relay Team of the Week.
A breaststroke and IM specialist, Gilbert recorded a pair of first-place finishes, one second-place result and was also part of another victory in the relays as Babson wrapped up the regular season with a 169-120 win at Springfield on Saturday. She touched the wall first in the 200 free with a time of 2:02.04 and later won the 200 IM in a time of 2:20.11, and was also the runner-up in the 100 free with a time of 57.25 seconds.
The contingent of Netishen, Hallbert, Gershanok and Racicot posted a time of 3:45.62 to end the meet with a win in the 400 free relay by nearly 10 seconds, helping Babson defeat Springfield in its final dual meet of the regular season on Saturday.
The Beavers, which finished 7-4-1 in dual meets, will compete in the four-day NEWMAC Championships at MIT on February 19-22, beginning on February 19 at 6 p.m. in Cambridge.
