Nate Mueller (Rogers, Minn.) and junior
Jimmy Fallon (Milton, Mass.) were recognized by the Little East Conference (LEC) on Monday as Mueller was named Men's Ice Hockey Goalie of the Week for the fourth time this season and Fallon was tabbed the Player of the Week for the second time.
Mueller posted a 2.00 goals against average and stopped 51 of 55 shots for a .927 save percentage in a pair of wins. The senior netminder turned away 24 shots in Friday's 2-1 victory over UMass Boston and then made 27 saves to help the Beavers defeat UMass Dartmouth, 7-3, on Saturday.
A four-year veteran for the Beavers, Mueller leads the LEC with a 1.86 goals against average and is second with a .926 save percentage. He ranks seventh in Division III in goalie winning percentage (14-2-2, .833), ninth in goals against average and 24th in save percentage.
Fallon scored three goals and added one assist for four points as No. 11 Babson picked up a pair of home wins. The junior forward provided an assist in Friday's 2-1 victory over UMass Boston and then recorded his third hat trick of the season with a goal in the first period and two more in the second as the Beavers defeated UMass Dartmouth, 7-3, on Saturday.
A junior left-winger for the Beavers, Fallon leads the Beavers in scoring with 17 goals, 14 assists and 31 points in 23 games, ranking second in the LEC in goals and third in points. He also sits eighth in Division III in goals per game (0.74) and 23rd in points per game (1.35).
Babson (18-3-2, 13-2-1 LEC) wraps up the regular season this weekend on the road at New England College on Friday and Plymouth State on Saturday.
