MIDDLETOWN, Conn.— Sophomore
Tuana Turhan (Lake Forest, Ill.) captured a pair of events and Babson College won the 200 free relay to end the meet but the Beavers dropped a 203-91 loss to Wesleyan University in a dual meet Saturday afternoon inside the Webster Family Natatorium.
With the loss, the Beavers fall to 5-3-1 on the season while Wesleyan improves to 2-3 overall.
Turhan touched the wall first in the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:14.30 and followed that up with a first-place finish in the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:18.81. The team of sophomores

Hailey Cronan (New Market, Md.), junior
Sylvie Racicot (Arlington, Mass.), and sophomore
Julia Netishen (Exeter, N.H.) won the 200 free relay in a time of 1:40.59 with a winning margin of 0.48 seconds.
The Beavers posted a half dozen runner-up finishes, led by Turhan with a time of 27.31 in the 50 fly. Gilbert took second in the 200 free in 2:02.17 and the 500 free in 5:32.93, Netishen was second in the 50 back in 28.83 and 100 free in 57.14, and first-year
Becky Hwang (Needham, Mass.) finished runner-up in the 200 back in a time of 2:16.58.
Racicot brought home a pair of third-place finishes in the 50 free with a clocking of 25.94 seconds and the 100 free in 57.58. Hwang took third in the 50 back in 30.07 seconds and first-year
AJ Hallbert (Enterprise, Ala.) was third in the 200 IM in 2:25.19.
The foursome of Netishen, Cronan, Turhan and Racicot were also third in the 400 medley relay in a time of 4:11.48.
Babson will head to Florida for its winter training trip on Sunday before returning to competition on Saturday, January 24, when it hosts Bridgewater State at 11 a.m. inside Morse Pool.
