WHAT TO KNOW
• A busy week of competition for the Babson track & field squads gets underway on Wednesday as first-year
Aithan Bezanson and
Matthew Vilela travel to Amherst, Mass., to compete in the decathlon at the UMass Multi-Meet.
• The Beavers will send both their men's and women's teams to New London, Conn., on Friday and Saturday for the Connecticut College Silfen Invitational.
• Head coach
Russ Brennen also hopes to send multiple distance runners compete at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday in Lewisburg, Pa., when the performance lists are released on Wednesday.
2024 SILFEN INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
• The Babson men finished sixth and the women placed 10th at last year's Silfen Invitational.
• Senior
Angela Hagstrom won the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.43) and helped the Beavers' 4x100-meter relay team come in second, while junior
Trista Sicard came in fifth with a leap of 34-feet, 9-inches in the triple jump to lead the women.
• Junior
Chloe Clifford placed seventh in the 800 meters (2:24.15) and classmate
Julia Pike came in seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.87.
• The Babson men were led by Eric Bottern '24, who finished first in the shot put, third with a school record throw of 162-feet, 8-inches in the hammer, and sixth in the discus.
• Demarre Johnson '24, who came in fourth in the 200 meters, teamed with sophomores

Niko Manolakos and
Aryan Dass to take third in the 4x400-meter relay, senior
Julian Ivarra claimed fifth place in the 5000 meters and senior
Harrison Prucher finished seventh in the 110-meter hurdles.
ABOUT THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers won three events on the way to finishing fourth overall at the Coast Guard Invitational last Saturday in New London, Conn.

Dominic Smith won the 400 meters with a time of 50.91, classmate
Patrick Allardi took first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.41, and the team of Smith, Seymour and first-years
Jackson Adams and
Noa Wong was victorious with a time of 3:27.27 in the 4x400-meter relay.
• Wong was second in the 400 meters (50.92), Adams was the runner-up in the 400 hurdles (58.57) and Bezanson finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 157-feet, 11-inches.
ABOUT THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers recorded first-place finishes in three events and came in fourth among scoring teams at last Saturday's Coast Guard Invitational.
• Pike cane in first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.41, sophomore
Colleen Corman won the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:08.51, and the quartet of Hagstrom, junior
Robyn Wilkes, sophomore
Reese Gallant and first-year
Victoria Hart finished first in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 51.07.
• Wilkes finished second in the 200 meters (27.02), first-year
Amrit Rehal was the runner-up in the high jump by clearing 5-feet, 3.75-inches, Sicard placed third in the triple jump (36-feet, 7.25-inches) and Corman, Hagstrom, Clifford and first-year
Sophia Draxler added a second-place showing in the 4x400-meter relay.
POSTSEASON QUALIFIERS
• Ten athletes have already qualified for the D3 New England Championships through the first two weekends of competition, highlighted by Ivarra (5,000m, 10,000m), first-year
Nick Yacoub (5,000m, 10,000m) and Bezanson (110h, 400h) each posting qualifying marks in multiple events.
• Allardi (110H), sophomore

Anthony Rodriguez '24 (10,000m), sophomore
Jonathan Hanscom (10,000m) and classmate
Gerardo Fernandez (400m) have also qualified for the men.
• Rehal, who broke the program's 23-year old record with a mark of 5-feet, 5-inches in the high jump, and Sicard (triple jump) have both qualified for the women.
HIGH-RANKING MARKS
• Rodriguez (29:43.74) and Yacoub (31:48.20) are ranked first and second, respectively, in New England in the 10,000 meters, and Rodriguez's time is currently sixth in Division III.
• Ivarra (6th, 32:26.31) and Hanscom (9th, 32:43.11) both own top-10 times in the 10,000 meters, while Allardi's time of 15.25 in the 110-meter hurdles is currently 10th in New England.
• For the Babson women, Rehal ranks second in New England and seventh in Division III with her mark of 5-feet, 5-inches in the high jump.
