Anthony Rodriguez (Prairie View, Ill.) came in ninth in the 5,000 meters and senior
Julian Ivarra (Plano, Texas) recorded the top time of his career in the 10,000 meters at MIT's Sean Collier Distance Night inside Henry G. Steinbrenner '27 Stadium on Friday night.
Rodriguez battled windy conditions to post a time of 14:53.33 that ranked fifth among Division III competitors. He was 12th at the midway point of the race before moving up three spots over the final 2500 meters to record the ninth fastest time in program history.
Ivarra shaved more than 10 seconds of his previous best time to come in eight among Division III competitors and 18th overall with a time of 31:01.28. His time also now ranks fifth on the Beavers' all-time list.
Both the Babson men's and women's squads are set for a full day of competition on Saturday at MIT beginning at 10 a.m.
