NEW LONDON, Conn.—The Babson College women's track & field team recorded top-five finishes in seven different events and had 10 different athletes record a season-best mark at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College on Saturday.
The top individual performance of the day came in the 400-meter hurdles where sophomore
Colleen Corman (Quaker Hill, Conn.) came in first by 0.01 seconds with a time of 1:08.39. First-year
Shriya Peddi (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) was the runner-up in the 5000 meters with a season-best time of 19:24.03, while junior
Robyn Wilkes (Atlanta, Ga.) finished fourth in the 200 meters with a season-best time of 26.26 and also claimed fifth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.09.
First-year
Victoria Hart (Greenwich, Conn.) crossed the finish line in a season-best time of 15.95 to come in fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, and junior
Chloe Clifford (Marshfield, Mass.) placed fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.15. Senior
Angela Hagstrom (Portsmouth, N.H.) was just under a half-second behind her in seventh with a time of 1:03.64, in addition to running 27.63 to finish in 13th position in the 200 meters.

Sophia Draxler (Montclair, N.J.) placed seventh in the 1500 meters with a season-best time of 5:11.99 and classmate
Kate Henderson (Basking Ridge, N.J.) took seventh with a mark of 99-feet, 8-inches in the javelin. Sophomore
Ava Newton (Danvers, Mass.) was 10th with her top time of the spring in the 800 meters (2:46.31) and 14th in the javelin (80-feet, 6-inches), junior
Julia Pike (Mansfield, Mass.) came in 10th in the 100-meter hurdles (17.79), and classmate
Trista Sicard (Marshfield, Mass.) placed 12th in the long jump with a mark of 13-feet, 10.25-inches.
First-year
Annabelle Svenson (Montclair, N.J.) came in 15th with a season-best time of 20:38.74 in the 5000 meters, and sophomore
Maddie Stoltz (Somers, Conn.) completed the final three events of the heptathlon, coming in 10th overall with 2780 points. She followed up a season-best mark of 13-feet, 4.25-inches in the long jump by coming in second in the javelin with a throw of 85-feet, 6-inches. Stoltz then wrapped up her weekend by coming in eighth with a time of 2:48.56 in the 800 meters.
Babson returns to action at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
