WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson men's & women's track teams will head to Smithfield, R.I., for their first appearance at the Bryant Black & Gold Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers are coming off an impressive ninth-place finish out of 31 teams at the season-opening Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational last weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Nick Yacoub and senior
Julian Ivarra finished 1-2 in the 10,000 meters in times of 31:48.28 and 32:26.31. Rodriguez finished fourth in the mile run in 4:23.89 and second in the 3,000 meters in a program-record of 8:34.70.

Aithan Bezanson registered four top-10 finishes, taking first in the Open Flight B in the high jump (6-2.75), fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (56.61), seventh in the 110-meter hurdles (15.59), and ninth in the javelin (173-8). Classmate
Michael Beauchesne was third in the high jump (5-10.75) and fellow freshman
Patrick Allardi placed fifth in the 110 hurdles (15.25).]

• The Beavers finished eighth among Division III squads and 27th overall among 29 scoring teams at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational last weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Chloe Clifford captured third place in the 400 meters in a career-best time of 1:02.74 in the field of 20 entries. First-year
Amrit Rehal (Alpharetta, Ga.) broke the program's oldest school record set back in 2002 by clearing 5-feet, 5-inches in the high jump to finish ninth overall. Her mark is currently tied with Katie Baller of Hardin-Simmons for first in Division III.
• The Beavers produced a top-10 finish in the 4x400-meter relay as the quartet of sophomore

Chloe Clifford finished sixth with a time of 4:13.43.
PROGRAM RECORDS
• Rodriguez's time of 8:34.70 in the men's 3000 meters shattered the previous standard of 9:51.91 set by Brian DeLeon at the UMass Lowell Invitational on April 6, 2013.16.
• Rehal's leap of 5-5 in the women's high jump broke the mark of 5-feet, 4.5-inches by Katie Collins at the ECAC Championships on May 11, 2002.
DIVISION III NEW ENGLAND QUALIFIERS
• The Babson men have seven athletes who have qualified to the New England Division III championships later this spring.
• The six include McDonough in the 100 meters (11.00), sophomore
Gerardo Fernandez in the 400 meters (50.42), Yacoub (31:48.20) and Ivarra (32:26.31) in the 10,000 meters, Allardi in the 110 hurdles (15.25) and Bezanson in the 110 hurdles (15.43), 400 hurdles (56.61), high jump (6-2.75) and javelin (173-9).
• Rehal represents the women's team on the list of New England qualifiers in the high jump (5-5).

• The Beavers will start the month of April off by traveling to New London, Connecticut for the annual Coast Guard Invitational on April 5.
