BABSON PARK, Mass.—Following a 2025 campaign that saw his program capture a third consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) tournament title, Babson College eighth-year head men's lacrosse coach
Rocky Batty officially released his squad's 2026 schedule on Wednesday.
The Beavers, who captured their opening contest in the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row last spring and finished the year with an overall record of 14-6, will play another rugged schedule in 2026. The slate will include five teams that joined Babson in the NCAA Tournament last May, including three of the four teams that advanced to the semifinals.
The Green and White will begin the campaign at home on February 14 against Wentworth, which finished runner-up in the Conference of New England tournament last spring. After a visit to longtime power Union on February 21 in Schenectady, N.Y., the Beavers will take on perennial powerhouse RIT on February 28, a program that has been to five straight NCAA Final Fours and won back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022.
The month of March begins with a home game against Western New England at MacDowell Field on March 7, followed by a visit on March 11 to Amherst, which advanced to the third round of last year's NCAA tourney. The Beavers open NEWMAC play at Wheaton in Norton, Mass., on March 14 before returning home to host another NCAA Tournament team from last year in Middlebury on March 15.
Babson will host defending NEWMAC regular season champion and tournament runner-up Springfield on March 21 before wrapping up a three-game home stand on March 24 against Bowdoin, an NCAA Final Four participant last spring. The Beavers wind up the month with a visit to Salve Regina for a conference matchup on March 28 and a non-conference contest at UMass Boston on March 31.
The Beavers will conclude the regular season with five games in April, starting with NEWMAC home games vs. Coast Guard on April 4 and Emerson on April 11 and ending with conference road tilts at Clark on April 17 and MIT on April 25. Sandwiched in the middle of those games is a tough home encounter against two-time defending national champion Tufts on April 14.
The top five teams qualify for the NEWMAC Tournament, which kicks off with a quarterfinal on April 28. The two highest seeds will host semifinal contests on April 30 with the winners advancing to the championship game at the highest remaining seed on May 2. The tournament winner receives the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championships.
