BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College women's swimming & diving senior
Elina Sung (Taichung, Taiwan) was selected as the Dunn Gaherin's Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
Sung has competed in the diving events at five meets this season recording three first-place and two runner-up finishes. She recorded a season-best score of 140.30 on the 1-meter board and a career-best mark of 149.40 on the 3-meter board in a dual-meet victory over Clark on November 2.
Sung posted career-best 11-dive scores of 220.65 on the 1-meter board and 228.85 in the 3-meter event at last year's NEWMAC Championships. She also achieved her top six-dive score in the 1-meter event (145.05) against Springfield last February.
Babson (6-3) defeated Wesleyan, 146-144, for its third consecutive win last Saturday and will return to action on January 18 when it hosts Wheaton at 12 p.m. inside Morse Pool.
Started in 2020, the Dunn Gaherin's Scholar-Athlete of the Week award honors junior and senior student-athletes that carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher.

Favorite Class at Babson and Why?
Management Consulting Field Experience (MCFE). This class provided the chance to gain practical experience by solving real business challenges for a sponsor company. It helped me hone essential skills such as working effectively in team settings, staying organized, and strategic planning.
What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at Babson?
Being able to push my limits in the pool and classroom, and connecting with those who are/were part of the program
