WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.— Babson College senior
Anthony Rodriguez (Prairie View, Ill.) broke his own school record in the 5000 meters again on Friday evening at the Farley Inter Regional Extravaganza at Williams College.
Rodriguez finished sixth in the race in a time of 14:18.05, knocking nearly 14 seconds off his previous best of 14:31.92 set at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic back in April 13. His time is in the top five times in the East region this spring and he now owns the top nine times in program history in the 5000 meters.
The Babson senior was more than nine second back of junior Ryan Tobin (14:08.71) for a spot in the top five.
Babson returns to action with a last chance meet at MIT on Thursday before the NCAA Championships selections are made late next week.
