WHAT TO KNOW
• For the second time in conference history, the NEWMAC Championships will be held over two beginning on Friday afternoon at Springfield College.
• The league's nine women's and six men's programs will compete in 20 events as well as the decathlon and heptathlon.
2023 NEWMAC CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
• The Babson men placed fourth with a program-best 80 points, while the women came in fifth to match their best conference finish with a school-record 55 points in last year's meet at MIT.
• Senior
Anthony Rodriguez came in first in both the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters on the way to earning NEWMAC Track Athlete of the Year honors, while classmate
Eric Bottern earned all-conference accolades with his runner-up finish in the shot put and also finished third by setting a new school record in the hammer throw.

Lauren Zatulove '23 finished first in the inaugural heptathlon and the sophomore trio of
Ashna Krishnamurthy,
Brooke Jankowski and
Trista Sicard all bettered the previous school record in the long jump, and the Babson women set school records in both the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays.
• Junior
Angela Hagstrom earned all-conference honors with her second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, while Jankowski came in third in the 100-meter hurdles.
ABOUT THE BABSON MEN
• Rodriguez shattered his own program record by more than 29 seconds with a time of 29:43.61 in the 10,000 meters to record one of four event victories at last weekend's Sean Collier Invitational at MIT.

Chris McDonough won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.75, Bottern recorded a season-best throw of 55-feet, 2.75-inches to win the shot put and the quartet of senior
Demarre Johnson, sophomore
Max Gregoire and first-years
Niko Manolakos and
Kainoa Ronquilio won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:26.10.
• First-year
Stratton Seymour posted a time of 57.82 to come in third and qualify for the New England Division III championships in the 400-meter hurdles, while Johnson recorded a D3 New England qualifying time of 10.97 to place seventh in the 100 meters.
• Junior
Harrison Prucher finished third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.73, while classmate
Jack Reynolds tied for fourth in the high jump, clearing 5-feet, 9.75-inches.
ABOUT THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers recorded six top-eight finishes at last Saturday's Sean Collier Invitational at MIT.
• Sicard posted a D3 New England qualifying mark of 35-feet, 8-inches in the triple jump, which was good for fifth place, while Krishnamurthy came in fifth in the long jump (16-5) and eighth in the triple jump (33-11.50).
• Sophomore
Robyn Wilkes came in sixth in the 100 meters with a time of 12.91 and seventh in the 200 meters with a time of 26.59.
• First-year
Colleen Corman also placed seventh with her time of 1:09.10 in the 400-meter hurdles.
AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
• Entering this weekend's conference meet, Bottern ranks eighth in Division III in the shot put, McDonough is 12th nationally in the 100-meter dash and Rodriguez is 14th in the 10,000 meters.
CHASING MEDALS
• Ten athletes (five men, five women) have marks that rank among the top five in the conference entering this weekend's NEWMAC Championships.

RECORD-SETTING PERFORMANCES
• The Beavers have established new program records in six different events this season.
• McDonough posted new marks in both the men's 100 (10.54) and 200 meters (21.83), Bottern bettered his own record with a throw of 162-feet, 8-inches in the discus at the Silfen Invitational on April 13, and Rodriguez shattered his previous school-bests in the 5000 meters (14:31.92) and 10,000 meters (29:43.61).
• On the women's side, sophomore
Robyn Wilkes ran 26.04 in the 200 meters at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Collegiate Meet on March 16.

• Babson has 20 athletes that have qualified for the Division III New England Championships, which will be held May 3-4 at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.
