CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Senior
Anthony Rodriguez (Prairie View, Ill.) shattered his own school record to finish first in the 10,000-meter run at the Sean Collier Invitational Distance Night at MIT's Sherie and Don (1961) Morrison Track.
Rodriguez posted a time of 29:43.61 to finish ahead of second-place Eli Moskowitz by 0.31 seconds and third-place David Reynolds of WPI by more than six seconds. His time is the fastest this season in the 10,000 meters by a NEWMAC runner, currently ranks second in New England and 12th in Division III.
Additionally, Rodriguez bettered his previous school record of 30:12.90, which he posted at last year's Sean Collier Invitational, by over 29 seconds. He owns nine of the Beavers' top 10 times in the 10,000 meters in program history.
