• Babson, which has split four of its first five conference doubleheaders, hosts Wellesley for a twin bill on Friday afternoon before visiting Emerson for a pair of games on Saturday afternoon.

• Babson is 27-17 all-time against the Blue in a series that dates back to 2005.
• The Beavers have split their last eight games with Wellesley going back to 2019 and were swept on the road last season.

• Lauren Young led off the second inning with a double and later scored on a sacrifice fly and Charis Chung added an RBI triple later in the frame to help the Blue defeat Babson, 2-0, to complete a sweep of last year's doubleheader on April 21, 2023, in Wellesley, Mass.

SCOUTING THE BLUE
• Wellesley (13-13, 5-5 NEWMAC) suffered a 7-0 loss to Endicott in game two of Wednesday's doubleheader in Beverly, Mass.
• Karen Xiao went 2-for-4 and Chiara Lundin added a pinch-hit double for the Blue, which left the bases loaded in the fourth and stranded four more runners on base over the final two innings.
• Jillian Colgan is batting .351 with five doubles, a triple and 12 runs batted in, Anisa Rodriguez is hitting .288 with four doubles, five RBI and six runs scored, and Emily Kulhanek enters the weekend with a .255 average to go along with five doubles, two homers and a team-high 15 runs batted in.
• Sarah Wicker is 5-6 with a 1.51 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 69.1 innings, Colgan is 4-3 with a 3.31 earned run average in 61.1 innings and Young has gone 4-4 with a 2.37 ERA in 44.1 innings of work this spring.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (11-13, 2-8 NEWMAC) has dropped three of its last four games and suffered an 8-0 five-inning loss to Smith in the second game of last Saturday's doubleheader.
• Killough and Grace Beaulieu both singled and Claire Overton walked twice for the Lions, who were held to a season-low two hits.
• Zannotti is batting .333 with nine doubles, 11 RBI and 19 runs scored, Overton is hitting .275 with eight extra-base hits, 14 RBI and 17 runs scored, and Killough enters the weekend with a .264 average to go along with seven doubles and 22 runs batted in.
• Jessica Gomez is 3-8 with a 2.94 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 66.2 innings, while Caleigh Sheehan is 6-5 with a 3.25 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 66.2 innings of work this spring.
NEWMAC RESET
• With the exception of Springfield and Wheaton, who are tied for first place at 8-2, the next seven teams in the NEWMAC standings enter the weekend separated by just three games in the loss column.
• The Beavers are currently a game out of the seventh and final playoff spot at 4-6, while Wellesley is one of three times tied for fifth place at 5-5.
• The teams that finish in sixth and seventh place will meet on May 6 with the winner joining the top five seeds in the double-elimination NEWMAC Tournament, which runs from May 8-12.
WATCH MY SPEED
• The Beavers rank 26th in Division III averaging 2.74 stolen bases per game and their 74 total steals not only lead the NEWMAC but also are just three shy of the single-season program record of 77 set back in 2022.
• Moore, who has swiped 61 career bags and is just two away from Babson's career record, leads the conference with 15 stolen bases, while Walsh and Hadjipanayis are tied for third with 13 apiece on the year.

• Raymond enters the weekend riding a six-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in eight straight outings going back to April 6.

CONFERENCE LEADERS
• In addition to Moore leading the NEWMAC in stolen bases, Karamouzis is tied for the league lead with 16 walks and has also thrown out a league-high six runners trying to steal.
• O'Reilly leads the conference in both innings pitched (94.0) and strikeouts (140), is tied for second in wins (8), ranks fourth in opposing batting average (.213) and is fifth in ERA (1.71).
TRENDS TO WATCH
• The duo of Moore and Raymond has combined to hit .396 (19-for-48) with runners in scoring position this season.
• Walsh (8) and Raymond (6) have combined for 14 of the Beavers' 34 two-out runs batted in this spring.
• Moore (8) and Walsh (6) rank first and second, respectively, in multi-hit games, while Raymond has a team-high five multi-RBI games.
