MEDFORD, Mass.—Five competitors recorded regional championship qualifying marks and the Babson College men's track & field team posted 11 top-four finishes on the way to finishing second at the Tufts University Snowflake Classic on Saturday afternoon.
The host Jumbos came in first with 312 points, while the Beavers totaled 98 points in the 17-team field. Connecticut College (73), Trinity (70) and Wentworth (42) rounded out of the top five.
Junior
Julian Ivarra (Plano, Texas) came in first in the 10,000-meter run posting a career-best time of 31:31.22, while senior
Eric Bottern (Saint Paul, Minn.) won the shot put with a throw of 53-feet, 1.75-inches. He also came in second with a throw of 151-feet, 10-inches in the hammer and was fifth with a mark of 126-feet, 8-inches in the discus.

Michael Agard (Marietta, Ga.) highlighted a strong day for the Babson sprinters by coming in second with a time of 10.96 in the 100-meter dash. First-year
Kainoa Ronquilio (Waipahu, Hawaii) placed fourth in the 100-meter finals with a time of 11.14 and added a sixth-place result with a time of 22.44 in the 200 meters.

Gabe Rosenberg (Silver Spring, Md.) and junior
Harrison Prucher (Hopkinton, Mass.) both qualified for the New England Championships with strong finishes in the 110-meter hurdles. Roseberg came in third with a time of 15.89, which was just 0.06 seconds ahead of Prucher, who placed fourth. Agard took fourth in the long jump with a leap of 20-feet, 9.75-inches, junior

Jordan Wright (Haworth, N.J.) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the triple jump, and the duo of first-years

Jack Gramer (Tyngsborough, Mass.) were fourth and fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase.

Niko Manolakos (Shrewsbury, Mass.) came in sixth with a time of 1:58.70 in the 800 meters, while classmate
Stratton Seymour (Merrimac, Mass.) finished seventh with a time of 58.89 in the 400-meter hurdles. Senior
Demarre Johnson (Dallas, Texas) placed eighth with a time of 22.51 in the 200 meters, sophomore
Joseph Addotta (Ridgefield, Conn.) was eighth with a throw of 119-feet, 10-inches in the discus and first-year
Nicolas Kube (Dover, Mass.) qualified for the regional meet with a throw of 167-feet, 7-inches to come in eighth in the javelin.
Babson returns to action next Saturday when it travels to New London, Conn., for the Coast Guard Invitational.
