SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 25-15-7 all-time against MIT in a series that dates back to 1995.
• The Beavers snapped a 13-match winless streak against the Engineers with a 2-1 win in last year's regular season meeting.
• As many as 18 of the last 26 games between the sides have been decided by no more than one goal.
• The Green and White is seeking its first win in Cambridge over MIT since 1999.
POSTSEASON HISTORY
• Babson and MIT will meet in the NEW 6/NEW 8/NEWMAC Tournament for the ninth time dating back to 1991, including the first time in the title game last year.
• The Beavers are 4-1-3 against the Engineers in the playoffs, winning four in a row between 1991 and 2004 and advancing on penalty kicks in 2006 and 2010.
• The two sides have met four times in the quarterfinals, and Thursday will be the fourth meeting in the semifinals, with Babson winning in 1994. The 2010 and 2013 semifinals both went to penalty kicks, with Babson advancing in Springfield in 2010 and MIT moving on to the final in Cambridge in 2013.
LAST MEETING
• Senior Meagan Rowlett scored a pair of goals to lead fourth-ranked MIT to a 4-0 victory over Babson back on October 23 at Roberts Field.

• First-year Maddy Noll made two saves to register her third clean sheet for the Engineers. Senior Lauren Davis and sophomore Emma Wang produced goals in the win while senior Ashley English collected a pair of assists.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Fourth-seeded Babson (8-6-5) earned a 3-1 victory over fifth-seeded Wheaton in Wednesday's quarterfinal at Hartwell-Rogers Field.

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• Top-seeded and third-ranked MIT (18-1-1) posted its 12th straight victory with a 2-1 verdict over eighth-seeded Coast Guard on Tuesday at Roberts Field.
• Rowlett and English scored in the first 15 minutes of the game for the Engineers, who outshot the Bears 38-5 overall, including 20-2 in the second half and 14-3 in shots on target. Noll made two saves in goal in the win.
• Senior Natalie Barnouw (10-3-23) and Rowlett (9-3-21) are 1-2 in the NEWMAC in scoring and junior Sean Luk (6-7-19) tops the conference in assists. Sophomore Arianna Doss (6-4-16) is also among the league's scoring leaders and English (3-5-11) is one of the NEWMAC assist leaders for the Engineers, who have outscored their opponents 54-10.
• Noll (10-0-0, 0.44 GAA, 20 saves), sophomore Cassidy Jennings (7-1-1, 0.38 GAA, 21 saves), and junior Ava Muffoletto (1-0-0, 0.99 GAA, 4 saves) have combined to register 12 clean sheets in goal for the Engineers.
STINGY DEFENSE
• Babson has recorded eight shutouts this season and has had 10 of its 19 games finish with a scoreline of 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1.
• MIT has blanked 12 opponents and six other foes have scored just one goal.
NEWMAC TOURNAMENT TRENDS
• Babson has advanced out of the quarterfinals in nine of their last 12 appearances (9-2-1) since 2012 with all but two of those matches being played at home.
• Four of Babson's last five NEWMAC Tournament victories going back to 2019 have come by a single goal.
• The Beavers' last postseason shutout came in the 2021 quarterfinals when it fell in penalties to WPI following a 0-0 draw.
