WHAT TO KNOW
• The top 10 runners on the Babson men's cross country team will compete at the Division III Pre-Nationals Meet on Friday night in Terre Haute, Indiana, running on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course, site of the NCAA Division III national championships on November 23.
• The Babson women's team and the remainder of the men's squad will compete in the annual Keene State (N.H.) Invitational on Saturday morning.
DIVISION III PRE-NATIONALS MEET
• The championship race will consist of the top 10 runners on the top 46 Division III teams using the following ranking links (

WOMEN).
• Babson is ranked 19th for the men's race based on the LACCTIC ranking system used for this event, and graduate student
Anthony Rodriguez is ranked ninth among the individuals.
LAST TIME AT KEENE STATE
• The Beaver men had four of the top 12 finishers and five in the top 25 to capture the team title out of 12 teams in the 2021 Keene State Invitational on October 2, 2021. Babson scored 53 points, ahead of runner-up Brandeis (82) and third-place Union (101).
• Rodriguez captured the individual title, covering the 5-mile course in 25:21, while Yudai Yamakawa finished fifth in 26:18, followed by graduate student
Ryan Wilson in 10th in 26:30. Gabriel Ortega was 12th in 26:35 and senior
Julian Ivarra finished 25th in 27:18.
• The Beaver women placed 12th in the team scoring with 294 points, sandwiched between Fitchburg State (290) and Clark (295). Nicole Johns was the top Babson finisher, taking 52nd in 21:24 on the 5K course, while Alyssa Keith '24 was just two seconds back in 56th in 21:26. Angela Hagstrom, 70th in 22:16; Stephanie Mishler '22, 78th in 22:39; and Amanda Karch '22, 79th in 22:37, rounded out the top runners for the Beavers.
SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers finished in ninth place among 44 schools at the rainy UMass Dartmouth Invitational back on September 21 in Dartmouth, Mass., which was the second-best among Division III teams.
• Rodriguez finished in 12th place among 343 runners to lead the Green and White, posting a time of 25:19 on the Robert Dowd 8K course, the 15th fastest 8K time in program history. Ivarra was the next Babson competitor across the line, finishing in 34th place in 25:48, and first-year
Nick Yacoub was 61st in 26:11.

Sam Zabbo and graduate student
Matthew Campbell rounded out the scorers for Babson, Zabbo placing 110th in 26:55 and Campbell in 127th in 27:11. Sophomore
Almond Nickerson IV finished in 27:30, classmate
John Hanscom crossed the line in 27:31, and fellow sophomore
Brian Gall came across in 27:39.

• The Beavers finished in 25th place out of 45 schools at the rainy UMass Dartmouth Invitational back on September 21 in Dartmouth, Mass., including coming in 10th among Division III programs.
• First-year
Shriya Peddi had another strong performance for the Green and White, placing 59th among the 346 runners in the race. She finished the 5K Robert Dowd course in 19:19, crossing the finish line in 17th place among Division III competitors. Junior
Chloe Clifford was the second finisher for Babson, coming in 130th in a time of 20:12.
• First-year
Sophia Draxler crossed the line in 167th place in 20:43, junior
Alexandra Kirkpatrick was 185th in 20:59, and first-year
Annabelle Svenson rounded out the group of scorers in 202nd place in 21:20. Sophomore
Taijah Harvey finished the race in 21:41, senior
Ali Thomas came across in 21:51, and senior
Eujin Shin finished in 22:42.
PRESENCE IN THE POLLS
• The Babson men are ranked seventh in the latest USTFCCCA East Region poll.
• The Beavers are third among schools from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) behind MIT (1st) and WPI (6th).
• MIT (1st) and Wellesley (5th) are the only two NEWMAC programs in the East Region women's poll.
