SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (4-4-5, 2-1-3 NEWMAC) is unbeaten in its last four matches and has tied two straight games after settling for a 0-0 draw at Emerson on Wednesday night.
• Ryan made one save and the Beavers held a 16-3 advantage in shots, which included a 9-1 edge in attempts on target, but were held off the scoreboard for the second consecutive game.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
• Smith (5-7-1, 4-1-1 NEWMAC) has won three straight games and is unbeaten over its last four matches after defeating Wellesley, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
• Abby Dickson opened the scoring in the 18th minute, Una Keller added a goal and an assist and Kyla Warner capped the scoring in the 58th minute for the Pioneers, who got two saves apiece from Smith and Linnea Alvarado-Faulkner.
• Keller (3-2-8) has a goal in two consecutive matches, Warner has provided two goals and one assist for five points and Raven Tebbetts (1-2-4) is tied for the team lead in assists.
• Smith has started all 12 contests and owns a 1.33 goals against average, a .847 save percentage and four shutouts for a defense that has not conceded a goal over its last four games.
POINTS AT A PREMIUM
• Babson enters Saturday's clash with second-place Smith (13 points) sitting on nine points through its first six NEWMAC fixtures.
• The Beavers go into Saturday's matchday one point ahead of both Wheaton and Emerson, two points behind WPI and Springfield, who are tied for third, and four in back of the Pioneers.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING
• Babson, which played to a 0-0 draw at then-No. 7 Middlebury last Sunday prior to Wednesday's result at Emerson, is coming off scoreless ties in back-to-back games in the same year for the first time in the 44-year history of the program.
• The only other time the Beavers had consecutive matches finish scoreless came over a decade ago as they played to a 0-0 draw against MIT in the 2013 NEWMAC Tournament semifinals and then opened the 2014 campaign with a 0-0 result versus UMass Boston.

• After opening the season with three straight losses, the Beavers have gone 4-1-5 over their last 10 matches dating back to September 14.
• Babson has outscored its opponents 13-7 during this stretch, which includes recording three consecutive shutouts for the first time since mid-September of last year.

• With two assists in last Saturday's 5-0 win over Mount Holyoke, Ferrantino now has 46 career points, which is tied for 16th on Babson's all-time list.
