vs. Stevens
• The Beavers and Ducks are meeting for the first time.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (2-0-1) has yet to concede a goal this season after Tuesday night's 0-0 draw against Suffolk on the turf at MacDowell Field.
• Junior goalkeeper Walker White finished with a season-high seven saves to post his third clean sheet this fall. He made five of his seven saves in the second half to preserve the shutout.
• Senior Liam Rhatigan (1-0-2) and graduate student Justin Stone (1-0-2) have each found the back of the net for the Beavers this season and graduate student Sam Morgan, senior Lorenzo Mancini and first-year Will Lloyd have collected assists.
• White, who has started 24 straight games in goal dating back to the start of last season, has made 15 saves in three outings this season.

SCOUTING THE RED HAWKS
• Montclair State (2-0) has outscored its opponents 10-0 in its first two games with a 2-0 victory over New York University last Friday and an 8-0 blowout over Hunter on Sunday.
• Junior Amer Lukovic, a Second team All-American in 2022, scored three goals in the first seven minutes against Hunter for his second career hat trick. Junior Andre Shelton tallied a goal and two assists and classmate Owen Murphy added a goal and an assist in the win.
• Lukovic (5-0-10) has picked up from where he left off last season when he produced 11 goals and 23 points and Shelton (1-3-5) tops the team in assists. Six different players have scored at least one goal and four players have recorded assists. Fifth-years Shane Keenan (3 saves) and Boris Del Calle (1 save) have each earned a victory in goal.
• The Red Hawks finished last season with a 15-2-4 overall record and 8-0-1 conference mark after falling to Rowan in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) championship game, 3-1.

SCOUTING THE DUCKS
• No. 3 Stevens (0-1-1) is coming off a 2-1 setback at No. 18 Franklin at Marshall on Saturday after the Diplomats rallied with two goals in the final 15 minutes, including the game-winner with just over a minute remaining. The Ducks played a scoreless draw against Manhattanville in its season debut on September 1.
• Graduate student Bruno Andino tallied the lone Stevens goal with an assist from junior Luca Campbell. Grad student Justin Cross made one save and shouldered the loss in goal.
• Andino and Cross are both returning All-Americans from a Stevens squad that finished 17-1-5 overall and captured the MAC Freedom Conference championship.
• The Ducks earned NCAA Tournament victories over Worcester State, Rowan, No. 14 Cortland, and No. 19 John's Hopkins on their run to the Division III semifinals before falling to eventual champions No. 2 Chicago in overtime, 1-0.

NATIONALLY-RANKED FOES
• Sunday's match-up at Stevens will be the first of three games for Babson against opponents ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Preseason Top 25.
• The Beavers will also face No. 9 Amherst of September 27 and No. 25 Tufts on October 3.

NEWMAC HONOR
• Babson made conference news on Tuesday when White was named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first week of the fall season.
• White stopped all nine shots he faced and recorded a pair of shutouts to earn the honor for the third time in his career.

STREAKING BEAVERS
• Babson, which closed the 2022 season with an eight-game unbeaten streak, is now 9-0-2 over its last 11 matches.
• The Beavers' 11-game unbeaten streak equals their longest since going 11 matches between losses in 2016.
• The Green and White have posted 10 consecutive home shutouts dating back to October 1 of last year.

FAMILIAR PLACE ATOP THE POLL
• After winning its third straight NEWMAC Tournament championship last November, Babson was picked to repeat when the conference released its preseason coaches' poll in late August.
• The Beavers collected seven of a possible nine first-place votes to finish atop the poll with 61 points ahead of Wheaton, MIT, WPI and last year's conference tournament runner-up, Emerson.
