WHAT TO KNOW
• Babson and Tufts will meet at MacDowell Field on Tuesday in a battle of two of the top five teams in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III poll.
SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 6-22 all-time against Tufts in a series that dates back to 1994.
• The Beavers have won four of the last seven meetings going back to 2015.
• The last six matches between the teams have been decided by just one goal, three of which extended into overtime.
• The Green and White won the last contest against the Jumbos at MacDowell Field, 1-0 in 2021 to break an eight-game losing streak on home field.

Brianne McGrath broke a 1-1 tie in the 33rd minute and that goal stood as the game-winner as No. 10 Babson handed third-ranked Tufts its first loss of the season, 2-1, on September 27, 2022, at Ounjian Field in Medford.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 2 Babson (8-1, 2-0 NEWMAC) is coming off a pair of lopsided shutout victories last week, a 7-0 whitewash over Skidmore on Wednesday and a 9-0 NEWMAC verdict over Wheaton on Saturday.
• Junior
Camille Marsh tallied a goal and two assists against Skidmore and produced a career outing vs. Wheaton with a program-record tying five goals. McGrath scored twice in the win over the Thoroughbreds and Evans notched a goal for the Beavers in both victories.

• Furmanek (8-1, 0.89 GAA, .789 sv. pct) tops the NEWMAC in goals against average and shutouts (4) and ranks third in save percentage.
SCOUTING THE JUMBOS
• No. 5 Tufts (6-0, 4-0 NESCAC) kept its unbeaten record intact with a 2-0 conference weekend that included a 5-1 victory at home on Saturday vs. No. 15 Hamilton and a 2-0 shutout of No. 14 Trinity on Sunday in Hartford, Conn.
• Seniors Andrea DelGiudice and Lainie Pearson scored for the Jumbos in the win over Trinity and sophomore Hannah Biccard netted three goals to lead the victory over Hamilton. Pearson and senior Rachel Scrivanich also found the back of the net against Hamilton.
• Biccard (5-3-13) and Andrea DelGiudice (5-2-17) share the team goal scoring lead for the Jumbos and Kylie Rosenquest (4-1-9) had three goals in her first two games. Senior Ashley Zolin (0-3-3) shares the team lead in assists.
• Sophomore Lydia Eastburn (6-0, 0.69 GAA, .840 sv. pct, 2 SO) ranks 11th in Division III in goals against average and 15th in save percentage.
RECORD DAY FOR MARSH
• Marsh produced a career performance in the win over Wheaton with her five goals matching the program record for goals in a game.
• Her first four goals came in an eight-minute span in the first half and her fifth equaled the mark set by Morgan Lockwood '14 who had five goals and two assists vs. Smith on October 13, 2012.
THEY'VE GOT YOU CORNERED
• The Beavers average nearly 14 penalty corners per games, which ranks second in Division III in attempts per game.
CONFERENCE HONORS FOR MARSH, SHARROW
• Babson swept the NEWMAC weekly honors this week, with Marsh and Sharrow being named Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week on Monday.
• The Beavers have captured three straight weekly conference honors on offense with Marguerite and Walsh preceding Marsh with the recognition.
POTENT OFFENSE
• The Green and White have outscored their opponents 45-8 this season and are ranked fourth in Division III in goals per game (5.0) and sixth in scoring margin (+4.11).
• Babson has gotten goals from 15 different players and at least two goals from 10 scorers.
BABSON VS. THE NESCAC
• Babson is 3-1 in the first four of five regular season games this season against schools from the NESCAC.
• The Green and White went 4-2 against the NESCAC each of the past two seasons and have won 14 of 17 games against NESCAC schools not named Middlebury since 2019.
