WHAT TO KNOW
• For the first time in conference history, the NEWMAC Championships will take place over two days on Saturday and Sunday at MIT.
• The league's nine women's programs and six men's programs will compete in 20 events as well as the decathlon and heptathlon beginning on Saturday afternoon.
2022 NEWMAC CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
• The Babson men finished fourth for the second year in a row with a school-record 66 points, while the women placed ninth at last year's league meet at Smith.
• The teams combined to set five school records as senior Jed Kaufman came in third in the 110-meter hurdles (14.95), junior Michael Agard earned a bronze medal in the long jump (21-feet, 11.75-inches) and the 4x100-meter relay team of Kaufman, Agard, Colin Cianciolo '22 and Talal Al Alami M'22 placed fourth with a new school mark of 42.45 for the Babson men.
• Junior Anthony Rodriguez also came in third in the 10,000 meters, classmate Eric Bottern took bronze in the shot put, sophomore Jack Reynolds placed third in the high jump and Cianciolo finished third in the 400 meters for the Beavers.
• The Babson women were led by Katherine Jacobs '22, who captured her second consecutive title in the 100-meter hurdles and teamed with juniors Caroline Reilly and Rachel Ip and sophomore Angela Hagstrom to post a new school record with a time of 49.53 in the 4x100-meter relay.
• Nina Sitarski '22 also shattered her own school record with a three of 110-feet, 1-inch in the hammer.

• Hagstrom finished as the runner-up in the 200 meters with a time of 26.32 and also placed fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.01 in addition to teaming with Reilly and first-years Robyn Wilkes and Brooke Jankowski to win the 4x100-meter relay to lead the Babson women
• Jankowski took third in the 100-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 15.54 and senior Nicole Johns placed fourth with a time of 20:43.25 in the 5000 meters.
• The Babson men set a pair of school records as Bottern broke an 18-year-old mark with a throw of 140-feet, 1-inch in the discus, while senior Thomas Croissant cleared 12-feet, 7.5-inches in the pole vault.
• Bottern was the runner-up in the shot put with a throw of 51-feet, 10-inches, sophomore Harrison Prucher took second with a career-best time of 15.70 in the 110-meter hurdles and Reynolds claimed fourth place with a mark of 5-feet, 11.25-inches in the high jump.
RECORD-SETTING SPRING
• The Beavers have set new school records in 11 events this spring, including a 10-year-old mark in the men's pole vault, a 20-year-old record in the men's discus and a 21-year-old result in the women's triple jump.

PURSUING A SPOT AT NATIONALS
• Bottern currently ranks 10th among Division III competitors with a throw of 54-feet, 1-inch in the men's shot put, while Rodriguez is currently 28th on the men's 10,000 meters performance list after posting a time of 30:12.90 last Friday at MIT.
DIVISION III NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS
• A total of 14 Babson athletes have punched their tickets to the NCAA New England Championships, which will be held at Springfield College on May 5-6.
• Men: Agard (long jump, 100m), Bottern (shot put), first-year Max Gregoire (800m), sophomore Julian Ivarra (10,000m), Kaufman (110 hurdles), Prucher (110 hurdles), Rodriguez (5000m), Wilson (1500m) and Yamakawa (3000m steeplechase).
• Women: Hagstrom (400 hurdles), Jankowski (100 hurdles), Krishnamurthy (triple jump), Wilkes (100m), senior Lauren Zatulove (heptathlon).

• A total of six Babson athletes rank among the top-five in the NEWMAC in their respective individual events heading into this weekend's championships.
