THE SETUP
• For the second year in a row and fourth time since 2018, the Babson College men's and women's track & field teams will travel to Medford on Saturday for the Tufts SnowFlake Classic.

LAST TIME AT TUFTS
• The Babson men broke a school record and reached four NCAA regional championship qualifying marks at the 2022 Tufts SnowFlake Classic, while the women set one school record and achieved one NEICAAA Championships qualifying time.
• Senior Jed Kaufman broke his own school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.11 that was good for second place. Talal Al Alami '22G qualified for the NCAA regional meet with a time of 11.15 in the 100-meter dash and 22.40 in the 200 meters, while sophomore Julian Ivarra finished sixth with a qualifying time of 32:45.11 in the 10,000 meters. Junior Anthony Rodriguez also qualified for the NCAA New England Championships with a time of 9:56.34 in his 3,000-meter steeplechase debut.
• Sophomore Angela Hagstrom ran 1:00.57 in the 400 meters to set a new program mark on the way to placing third, which also qualified her for the NCAA regional meet. Katherine Jacobs '22 took first in the finals of the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.76 that ranked among the top 20 in Division III.

SCOUTING THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers recorded 11 top-five finishes at the Bridgewater State Invitational last Saturday.
• The 4x100-meter relay team of senior Caroline Reilly, Hagstrom and first-years Brooke Jankowski and Robyn Wilkes posted a time of 50.41 to finish first. First-year Ashna Krishnamurthy posted the team's top individual result with her runner-up finish in the triple jump thanks to a leap of 33-feet, 11-inches.
• Jankowski came in third in the 100-meter hurdles (16.40) and the long jump (15-feet, 11-inches) and also placed fifth in the high jump. Hagstrom added fourth-place finishes in both the 200 meters (27.09) and 400 meters (1:02.00), while Wilkes was fifth in both the 100 meters (13.03) and the 200 meters (27.11).
• Senior Lauren Zatulove came in fourth in the shot put with a throw of 30-feet, 8-inches, Krishnamurthy placed fifth in the long jump with a result of 15-feet, 7.5-inches and first-year Trista Sicard finished fifth by clearing 33-feet, 2-inches in the triple jump.

SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
• Junior Eric Bottern broke his own record in the shot put and recorded a pair of top-five finishes at the Bridgewater State Invitational on Saturday.
• Bottern bettered his previous record with a throw of 52-feet, 3.25-inches to take first place in the shot put. He also came in fourth in the discus with a career-best throw of 126-feet, 10-inches and added a 12th-place result by clearing 107-feet, 7-inches in the hammer.
• First-year Max Gregoire was the runner-up in the 400 meters with a time of 52.39, while Rodriguez came in second with a time of 4:05.26 in the 1500 meters. Harrison Prucher finished third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.45, junior Michael Agard took third place with a leap of 20-feet, 10-inches in the long jump and sophomore Will Dean came in fourth in the high jump with a result of 5-feet, 10.75-inches.
• Senior Thomas Croissant registered a fifth-place result by clearing 11-feet, 5.75-inches in the pole vault. Agard crossed the finish line in 11.55 to finish sixth in the 100 meters, Dean cleared 37-feet, 7.25-inches to take sixth place in the triple jump and Kaufman placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (16.69). 

PROGRAM RECORDS
• The Beaver men and women posted a combined five school records at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Collegiate Meet in Point Loma, Calif. on March 18.
• The women established three new marks, Krishnamurthy in the triple jump (35-feet, 10.5-inches), Jankowski in the long jump (16-feet, 7.75-inches), and the contingent of Reilly, Jankowski, Hagstrom and Clifford in the 4x400 relay (4:07.53).
• The men set new standards by Bottern in the hammer throw (133-feet, 2-inches) and Rodriguez in the 5000 meters (14:40.02).
• Bottern also broke his own program record in the shot put last Saturday at Bridgewater State (52-feet, 3.25-inches).

BEAVERS EARN CONFERENCE HONORS
• Babson was well represented when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its weekly award recipients on Monday.
• Bottern was named Men's Field Athlete of the Week after setting two school records and achieving NCAA New England Championship qualifying marks in the hammer throw (133-feet, 2-inches) and shot put (52-feet, 3.25-inches).
• Krishnamurthy was selected as the Women's Field Athlete of the Week after breaking a 21-year-old program record in the triple jump with a leap 35-feet, 10.5-inches back on March 18 in California. She also was the runner-up in the triple jump (33-feet, 11.25-inches) and came in fifth in the long jump (15-feet, 7.5-inches) at the Bridgewater State Invitational on Saturday.
•  The Beavers' 4x400 meter unit of was named Relay Team of the Week after setting a program record in California on March 18 in a time of 4:07.53 that ranks 20th in Division III this spring, finishing nearly two-and-a-half seconds faster than the previous mark set back in 2019.

TOP DIVISION III PERFORMANCES
• The Babson men have a pair of performances that rank in the top 25 in Division III this spring. Bottern's mark of 15.93 meters (52-feet, 3.25-inches) is ranked third nationally and Rodriguez' time of 14:40.02 is the 21st fastest time in the 5000 meters in Division III.
• The Babson women have four top 25 performances in Division III this spring. Krishnamurthy owns the 12th best mark in the triple jump (35-feet, 10.5-inches); Hagstrom is ranked 23rd in the 400 hurdles (1:06.89); the 4x400 meter relay team (Reilly Jankowski, Hagstrom, Clifford) is 21st (4:07.53); and the 4x100 meter relay team (Hagstrom, Wilkes, Krishnamurthy, Reilly) is 25th (49.65). 

 UP NEXT
• The Beavers travel to New London, Conn., to compete in the Coast Guard Invitational on Saturday, April 8.
