No. 9 Men's Soccer Set for Visit to NEWMAC Newcomer Salve Regina on Saturday

SERIES HISTORY
• Saturday's game will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2007.
• Babson has captured all seven all-time meetings against Salve Regina, which were all played from 2000-2007.
• The Beavers posted clean sheets in four of the games against the Seahawks, including all three contests in Newport.

LAST MEETING
• Babson opened the 2007 season with a 4-0 victory over Salve Regina at Hartwell-Rogers Field.
• The victory was a start to a 12-6-2 season for the Beavers while the Seahawks finisher their campaign at 5-8-1.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 9 Babson (7-3-2, 2-0-0 NEWMAC) is unbeaten in its last three games (2-0-1) following a 0-0 draw against Tufts on Tuesday.
• Junior goalkeeper Walker White finished with five saves in the deadlock. The Beavers had a narrow 13-11 margin in shots, although shots on goal were tied 5-5.
• Graduate student Sam Morgan (3-3-9) picked up his third assist and graduate student Justin Stone (4-0-8) produced a two-goal game last Saturday in the 3-0 win at Emerson. Senior Liam Rhatigan (3-0-6) scored in back-to-back games against Connecticut College and Amherst in late September and first-year Will Lloyd (2-1-5) tallied an insurance goal for the Beavers in the win over Emerson.
• White (0.59 GAA, .887 sv. pct., 6 SO) has started 33 straight games going back to last season with 14 clean sheets. He is ranked ninth in Division III this fall in shutouts and 14th in save percentage.

SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
• Salve Regina (5-6-0, 0-2-0 NEWMAC) is looking to snap a two-game skid after losses to Bridgewater State on Wednesday (1-0) and at WPI last Saturday (2-0).
• Senior keeper Zach Rock made four second-half saves for the Seahawks against BSU, including a diving stop of a penalty kick. He turned in a two-save performance in the setback to WPI.
• Senior Jordan Borges (4-2-10) and first-year Daniel Goba (4-1-9) lead the team in goals and senior Nathan Costantino (0-4-4) tops the squad in assists. Senior Liam Berlingieri (2-0-4) and junior Ethan David (2-0-4) are also multi-goal scorers.
• Rock (1.50 GAA, .609 sv. pct., 1 SO) is 1-5 in six starts and junior Aidan Figueira (1.50 GAA, .727 sv. pct.) is 3-1 in four starts. Junior Gabriel Bazikas posted a clean sheet against Mass. Maritime in his only nod.

A GLANCE AT THE NEWMAC
• Babson (3-0) and MIT (2-0) are the only two teams without a loss or a tie this fall in conference play.
• WPI (2-1) is tied for second with six points while Springfield (1-0-2) and Wheaton (1-0-1) haven't taken any conference losses.
• Coast Guard (0-1-2) has two points and currently has the advantage for the final spot in the playoffs, which expands to six teams this season.

BEAVER BITES
• White ranks ninth in Division III with six shutouts and 14th in save percentage (.887).
• Stone is tied for 25th nationally with three game-winning goals.

MOVING UP THE RANKS
• Babson moved up to 9th in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division III poll, the Beavers' highest ranking since checking in at No. 11 in November 2011.
• Head coach Jon Anderson became the 14th coach in Division III to record 450 wins. Now in his 38th season, Coach Anderson owns a career record 450-200-82 for a .671 winning percentage.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Eight of the Beavers' 12 games this season have been decided by a single goal or finished in a draw.
• The Green and White are 5-0 this season when scoring the first goal of the game and 31-0-2 when scoring first dating back to the start of the 2021 campaign.
• Babson has won 20 consecutive matches when taking a lead into halftime, a run that stretches back to October 2019.

• Babson returns home for its next two matches, beginning Tuesday against Brandeis at 3:30 p.m. at Hartwell-Rogers Field.
