SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 2 Babson (10-1, 3-0 NEWMAC) extended its winning streak to four games with a 4-0 conference victory at Smith on Saturday, breaking open the contest with three goals in a two-minute span in the fourth quarter.

Caroline DiGiovanni scored twice in the fourth-quarter rally, and junior
Berit Sharrow and graduate student
Sinead Walsh also scored for the Beavers. Evans collected two assists, senior
Andrea Marguerite added one helper, and Furmanek finished with one save in the win.
• Marsh (8-3-19) is tied for fifth in the NEWMAC in goals and ranked sixth in points while Walsh (6-5-17) is tied for fourth in assists. McGrath (7-2-16) and DiGiovanni (7-0-14) are tied for seventh in the league in goals and Marguerite (5-2-12) and Hanyon (3-6-12) round out a balanced offensive attack for the Beavers.
• Furmanek (10-1, 0.73 GAA, .818 sv. pct) tops the NEWMAC in goals against average and shutouts (6) and ranks second in save percentage.
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• WPI (4-5, 3-0 NEWMAC) brings a four-game winning streak into Tuesday's encounter following Saturday's 2-1 triumph over Springfield.
• Sophomore Abbey Powers and senior Abigail Rauch scored for the Engineers and Martineau and sophomore Arie Lang collected assists. WPI outshot the Pride 11-5, including 10-1 in shots on goal.
• Powers (4-3-11) and Lang (4-2-10) share the team goal-scoring lead and junior Eliza Dutson (3-1-7) has three goals in the last five games. Rauch owns a team-best two game-winning goals.
• Junior Ella Moreau (4-5, 2.17 GAA, .716 sv. pct) has played all nine games in goal for the Engineers, posting a pair of shutouts.
NEWMAC HONOR FOR FURMANEK
• Furmanek made five saves in a pair of shutouts last week and was named NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
• The Beaver keeper has not allowed a goal over the last four games and has six shutouts on the season.
SCORING MACHINE
• The Green and White have outscored their opponents 51-8 this season and are ranked 10th in Division III in goals per game (4.3) and sixth in scoring margin (+3.9).
• Babson has gotten goals from 15 different players, at least five goals from five players and at least two goals from 10 scorers.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
• DiGiovanni's two goals against Smith was her second two-goal outing of the season.
• Four different Beavers have scored at least two goals in a game this season for a total of eight times – McGrath (Roger Williams, Clark, Skidmore), Marsh (Connecticut College, Wheaton), DiGiovanni (Bates, Smith), Marguerite (Williams).
BEAVER BITES
• McGrath has moved into the top 10 on Babson's all-time scoring list with 104 career points. She also ranks 11th with 41 goals and tied for 13th with 22 assists.
• Furmanek is now tied for fourth in program history with 14 career shutouts and is tied for sixth with 29 wins.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have scored in the first three minutes of the game in six of their last eight victories.
• The Green and White are 6-0 this season and have won 30 of their last 34 games on home turf at MacDowell Field.
• With the win over Smith, Babson extended its NEWMAC regular season victory streak to 53 games dating back to 2015.
