SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 2 Babson (13-1, 4-0 NEWMAC) brings a seven-game winning streak to Springfield after a pair of victories last weekend at MacDowell Field over Salve Regina (6-1) on Saturday and Saint Joseph's (Maine) on Sunday (7-0).
• Marsh scored twice and graduate students
Brianne McGrath and
Sinead Walsh tallied a goal and an assist each in the win over Salve Regina. Walsh scored notched her first career hat trick and a tenacious defense prevented any shots in the verdict over Saint Joe's.
• Marsh (13-4-30) is tied for third in the NEWMAC in goals and ranks third by herself in points while Walsh (10-6-26) McGrath (8-6-22) and are also in the top 10 in points. Sophomore
Caroline DiGiovanni (8-0-16) is second on the team in goals and Hanyon (3-8-14) is tied for the league lead in assists.
• Furmanek (13-1, 0.72 GAA, .800 sv. pct) has started every game over the past two seasons and leads the NEWMAC in goals against average and shutouts (7).
SCOUTING THE PRIDE
• Springfield (5-8, 1-4 NEWMAC) is looking to bounce back from a 4-0 non-conference loss to No. 14 Amherst on Thursday evening in the third of four consecutive home games.
• Niland had a strong showing in net for the hosts as she came away seven saves on the night in her third consecutive start. The Pride managed just one shot in the game by graduate student Kaitlin Bardellini.
• Bardellini (10-8-28) and first-year Hailey Gaydos (10-0-20) have combined for 20 of the team's 31 goals this season. Junior Camryn (4-1-9) is third on the team in scoring and classmates Claire Munkacsi (3) and Molly Collins (2) have combined for five defensive saves.
• Niland (2-3, 2.25 GAA, .657 sv. pct) has started five games in goal for the Pride and junior Neilee Hess (3-5, 2.48 GAA, .780 sv. pct) got the starting nod in eight games.

• Babson (5-0) and MIT (5-0) are battling for first place in the NEWMAC and Wellesley (3-2), Smith (3-2) and WPI (3-2) are in a three-way tie for third.
