SERIES HISTORY
• Babson and Southern Maine will meet for the 20th time on Thursday in a series that dates back to 2000.
• The Beavers are 7-11-1 all-time against the Huskies and the teams have split their last four meetings.

LAST MEETING
• Eric Jaun '19 went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and No. 10/10 Babson erased a four-run deficit on its way to defeating No. 3/4 Southern Maine, 9-8, on April 18, 2019 at Govoni Field.
• Sean Harrington '20 went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while Brian McHale '19 singled twice and scored once for the Beavers. Matthew Valente '20 drove in a pair of runs and Nicholas Browne '19 and juniors Jake Oliger '20 and Alex DiMartino '20 chipped in with an RBI apiece in the victory.
• Devin Warren '19 went 3-for-4 with an RBI and became the 28th player in school history to surpass 200 hits with his single in the fifth for the Huskies. Classmates Jake Dexter and Zach Quintal, junior Andrew Hillier '20 and Sam Troiano '21 all homered in the loss.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (22-9) has won 11 of its last 12 games after sweeping a doubleheader against MIT with 8-3 and 8-2 victories on Saturday.
• Seniors Josh Yellen and Thomas Lapham recorded a pair of multi-hit games and junior Patrick Manning, sophomore Francis Kiely and first-year Justin Guest all homered in the nightcap for the Beavers, who improved to 11-2 in the NEWMAC.
• Lapham is batting .345 with five extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 24 walks and 37 runs scored, Yellen is hitting .344 with six extra-base hits, 26 RBI and 26 runs scored, and Kiely owns a .286 average to go along with seven doubles, three home runs and a team-high 27 runs batted in.
• Junior Tim Noone (6-1, 3.43 ERA) and sophomore Tristen Spalter (5-2, 2.86 ERA) both recorded victories on Saturday, junior Anthony St. John is 4-0 with a 3.38 ERA in seven starts and classmate Stephen McLendon has gone 2-1 with five saves and a 1.29 ERA in 15 appearances out of the bullpen.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• Southern Maine (13-16) rebounded from a 13-3 loss in the opener to earn a split of Saturday's doubleheader at UMass Boston with a 5-4 win on Saturday afternoon.
• Jonathan Wilson recorded a pair of multi-hit games and Cam Seymour went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored at the plate in addition to recording the final nine outs to earn his first save in game two for the Huskies.
• Jason Komulainen is batting .349 with six doubles, two homers and 20 runs batted in, Arlo Pike is hitting .333 with nine doubles, four home runs and a team-high 23 RBI, and Tom Vesosky owns a .322 average to go along with nine extra-base hits and 21 RBI.
• Bryce Afthim is 4-2 with a 2.13 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 55.0 innings, while Lucas Francis (0-0, 4.00 ERA) has recorded 15 strikeouts and just one walk in 18.0 innings out of the bullpen this spring for Southern Maine, which owns a 5.34 team ERA.

GOING THE DISTANCE
• Spalter gave up just two runs while scattering seven hits on the way to recording his first career complete game in Saturday's game two win over MIT.
• The complete game was also the first by a Babson pitcher since May 6, 2019, when Tyler Bell '21 tossed a shutout against WPI in a NEWMAC Tournament elimination game.

BEAVER BITES
• Lapham went 4-for-9 with a double, two walks, an RBI and three runs scored on Saturday against MIT and has reached base safely in 23 consecutive games in addition to scoring a run in 11 straight outings.
• First-year Walter Sadowsky enters Sunday's contest riding a 12-game hitting streak, while Guest has reached base in each of his last eight starts.
• Kiely recorded a career-high four walks in Saturday's game one win over MIT.
• Yellen lead the Green and White with 13 extra-base hits, while Lapham has contributed two or more knocks 12 times this spring.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 18-4 this season when scoring the first run of the game.
• Babson is 19-2 when allowing five runs or less on the year.
• The Green and White is 15-1 this spring when outhitting its opponents.
• The Beavers are 15-2 when leading after six innings this season.

• Babson travels to Worcester, Mass., to take on Clark on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
