SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 63-23 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to 1978.
• The Beavers have won 10 of the last 11 games between the teams dating back to 2016, which includes five straight victories at home.

• Greg Boland went 3-for-4 with a home run and Cody Fidler allowed just one run in a complete-game effort as Coast Guard defeated Babson, 4-1, last Tuesday in New London, Conn.
• Blake Carroll went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Bears, who snapped a 10-game losing streak in the series.
• Junior Francis Kiely doubled twice and recorded a career-high four hits for the Beavers, who left eight men on base in the loss.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (13-8, 4-1 NEWMAC) finished off a weekend sweep of WPI with a 7-1 win on Sunday afternoon.
• Kiely hit a two-run homer in the first, first-year Walter Sadowsky went 3-for-4 with a solo blast and junior Tim Noone gave up just one run over seven innings for the Beavers.
• Senior Thomas Lapham is batting .354 with three extra-base hits, 10 RBI and 24 runs scored, classmate Sean Burychka is hitting .324 with 10 extra-base hits and 19 runs batted in, and fellow senior Josh Yellen enters the week at .318 with two doubles, a home run and 14 RBI.
• Noone (4-1, 3.99 ERA) and junior Anthony St. John (3-0, 3.19 ERA) have both won their first two NEWMAC starts, sophomore Tristen Spalter (2-2, 3.73) allowed one earned run in 5.1 innings last Tuesday at Coast Guard, and junior Stephen McLendon is 1-1 with four saves and a 1.72 ERA in 12 relief appearances.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (14-6, 5-0 NEWMAC) has won a school-record nine straight games after finishing off a sweep of Emerson with a 7-5 victory in game two on Sunday afternoon.
• Boland went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored and John Carroll doubled as part of a two-hit day for the Bears, who got a two-run double from Justin Stasiak in the bottom of the eighth to break a 5-5 deadlock.
• Blake Carroll leads the NEWMAC in batting average (.431) and stolen bases (10) to go along with nine extra-base hits and 15 runs batted in, Boland is batting .379 with three doubles, three homers and 11 RBI, and Stasiak is hitting .346 with six extra-base hits and 11 RBI.
• Fidler is 4-0 with two complete games and a 1.27 ERA in four starts, Brock Soletti has gone 3-0 with a 3.72 ERA in eight relief appearances, and Wyatt Duthu is 2-0 with two saves in five games out of the bullpen.
FRIENDLY CONFINES
• The Beavers are 6-2 at home this season, which includes two victories apiece over NEWMAC foes Springfield and WPI.
• Babson outscored the Pride and Engineers 36-5 over four games while batting .319 with 10 doubles and seven home runs.

• Lapham has reached base safely in 14 straight contests and has recorded seven of his team-high nine multi-hit games during this stretch.
