SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 0-11 all-time against Union in a series that dates back to 2009.
• Each of the five games played in Babson Park has been decided by four goals or less, which includes a one-goal victory by the Dutchmen in 2012.
LAST MEETING
• Senior Michael Sandes, juniors Aidan Flood, Brian Davis and Keaton McCann, and sophomore Greg Andrea each scored twice as Union defeated Babson, 17-5, on March 2, 2019, in Schenectady, N.Y.
• Patrick Regan and Alex Newhouse combined to win 16-of-19 face-offs for the Dutchmen, which opened the game with an 8-0 run.
• Seniors Troy Nanfelt and Thomas Jung and junior Alex Lesher all scored once for the Beavers, who converted just 1-of-7 man-up chances.
SCOUTING THE DUTCHMEN
• No. 11 Union (1-0) stormed past Endicott, 12-2, in its season opener on Wednesday.
• Flood and senior Kerry Lyne scored three goals apiece and classmate Graham Goldheim made 14 saves in his first collegiate start for the Dutchmen, which jumped out to a 6-0 first-quarter lead.
• Union, which was picked second in the Liberty League preseason poll, returns six all-conference performers from a team that went 14-4 and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2019.
• Lyne (37-9-46), McCann (35-10-450 and junior Hayden Frey (34-10-44) led the team in scoring last season, Regan won 58.2 percent of his face-offs and senior Ed Winter caused a team-high 33 turnovers to go along with 49 ground balls.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (2-0) remained unbeaten with a 12-11 OT victory at Bates on Wednesday.
• Senior Owen Allen, who netted the game winner 2:55 into the extra session, and junior Mason O'Hanlon both scored three times for the Beavers, who also got a career-high five points (2g, 3a) from senior Matthew MacCune.
• Allen (7-2-9) and MacCune (3-5-8) have combined for 17 points over the first two games, while O'Hanlon, junior Lee Sipes and first-year Chi Chi Price have three goals apiece.
• Junior John Antaya leads the team with eight ground balls and seven turnovers, and Aranalde has posted a 6.11 goals against average and a .613 save percentage in two starts.
FEBRUARY FIRST
• Saturday's contest is the first in the history of the Babson men's lacrosse program played on February 29.
• The Beavers have played on February 28 three times previously and most recently in 2018.
LONG TIME COMING
• Wednesday's victory was the first over Bates for the Green and White since 1990, when it defeated the Bobcats, 16-15.
• The win also was the first in OT for the Beavers since rallying for a 7-6 triumph at Clark back on April 16, 2014.
BALL SECURITY
• Despite winning just 42.2 percent of its face-offs over its first two outings, Babson has made it up for by forcing turnovers and taking care of the ball.
• The Beavers have committed 35 turnovers while forcing their first two foes, Roger Williams and Bates, into 53 miscues.
• The Green and White has also been successful on 37-of-41 clear attempts, which is good for a 90.2 percent success rate.

• Six players have produced multiple goals and 10 players in all have scored for the Beavers over their first two games of the spring.
